Talk about the joys of owning. I don't look forward to replacing that fence line.

That said, wouldn't change anything for the world.
That sounds really nice.
We're very blessed and happy with our home and 1/3 acre city lot, but my dream would be a few acres (fenced) and take in more fosters! Who knows, maybe someday....

We are all blessed, just that some don't know or ignore it

Be careful of what you wish for because you may just get it

We weren't looking for a place with this much property, but for some reason it kind of fell into our laps. You realize how many pounds of fertilizer it takes to spread on only 1 acre of lawn? Turns out you need a lot of things you never realized before

Work starts today! I'm so excited. If the weather holds up, it should be done by Monday. Then I can move on to getting a fence installed.

How much does fencing cost these days? I'm thinking of building a fence (preferably a wall) between my yard and the batty neighbor next door. I can build it myself, but it's backbreaking work and I'm lazy. I'm considering putting in barbed wire and also electrifying the whole thing.

Cheapest way to go on a fence would be 4" round posts with 8" corners, running electric (don't foget to put that ground rod a good 5' into the ground).

Figure a "2" split rail fence will run you about $350 per every 100', but the only thing a split rail fence is good for is looks.

Lumber can add up quick dollar wise, particularly with a privacy fence.

I replaced the barbed wire fence out front with a split rail fence, lumber picked up at a box store. Beleive me, I have a LONG list of the joys of owning a home including needing to stain that fence next spring

Oh, anyone want to come over for a bon fire?

Clearing out around the front of the house, usually get about 12 loads that fill a 6x12 trailer every year. Haul it down back for a nice weenie roast in December.
