| Hmm It went by so fast I have to think. I remember wanting to do something special with my girls over their break. I love when they have off school. Morninings are so hectic then they are gone all day. I really would rather have them home. But I know of course how important school is. I think we did something out of the ordinary I will let you know when I think of it.
I suppose this will be "auto-merged" into one post.
HELLO DENISE YOU ARE MAKING LOSE MY MIND!!!lLOL
I just went and looked at the calander. I was feeling bad for not doing something special with my girls (ages 9 &10) on thier break. So I thought maybe I wrote something down to help me remember.
Well low and behold...THEY DID NOT HAVE SPRING BREAK YET. Much to my releif. Now I will need to start figuring out something to do when it comes up. March 23rd is thier last day before break.

| The only reason I was able to enjoy Spring Break is because I'm a substitute teacher. Seeing as how the schools were all closed, I was unable to work this week. So... I went canoeing with a college buddy (who also had Spring Break at the same time).
I drove from my home in Texas to Mississippi, stayed at his parents' house for the night, woke up, got food/water/supplies ready, and made it out to the river by 9 in the p.m. We unloaded the canoe near a bridge, then paddled down river for about 500 yards. It was pitch-black, so we couldn't go very far without running in to dead trees or other such things that hang out in rivers.
We camped on a sand-bar the first night... woke up early, ate breakfast, then paddled for about 5 hours. We camped again that night... woke up, went down stream a few more miles, then we had to stop because my friend's arthritis started to bother him and I began to get a killer headache (wasn't drinking enough water).
To make a long story short... we paddled a total of 30 miles. We were out for 4 days (3 nights). Our goal was to make 56 miles on our trip... but his shoulders and my headache slowed us down quite a bit. We were supposed to do 15 miles a day... but we managed to only average about 7 miles a day. Oh well... it was still fun and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to get back out on the river again. We're planning on taking another canoe trip sometime this summer. |

Besides... none of my students know my first name, and if they search for my last name they won't find me on any of these sites... since I don't use my real name. Mr. N is actually from my first name, not my last. |

| Yes, I was wondering the same thing. When I was in school we always knew the teachers 1st name. Even in my daughters school they always tell the kids the 1st name.
Do you work in a dangerous school or something? Or maybe you just think they do not know your 1st name? Doesnt your school have some sort of administration directory? Would you like some more questions. How about a guess. I will guess your 1st name is Nick. Dont worry, I am not sitting here expecting an answer on you name Mr. Norman. Peace is not really name either, Mr. Napoleon. |
