Are you a Republican or a Demo?

Rudy Giuliani is leading the early polls for the Republicans and Obama and Clinton are pretty much head to head for the Democrats. Who are you going to vote for when the time comes

I honestly don't know, I've voted republican for he most part, though I have voted for moderate Democrats over liberal socially liberal Republicans like Giuliani. I can tell you who I'll NEVER vote for, ANYBODY with the name Clinton!

Ill probably vote Giuliani because he is the only Republican I can stand. He seems to have everything right except his stand on gun control

I can guess many will STRONGLY disagree with me but I would never vote for a woman president.

Woman are too emotional. I think men should be in charge when it comes to running the country. I think with a good woman by his side though he can do an even better job.

Peace you are completely entitled to your opinion but it's statments/opinions like that, that make me proud to say I was raised to never rely on a man. Doberman is right that's a can of worms....I hope that everyone can respect others opinions even if they do not agree with them.

As far as the future vote goes, I don't know how I'll go. Time will tell....

I personally wouldn't vote for female but I'll admit that Hillary is a pretty strong chick and would probably do a great job. But I'm not going to vote for her. I'll probably vote for R.G.

As for women being more emotional...that's nothing more than a hasty generalization. If we want to talk about facts, we'd say, men are more likely to kill themselves and in more violent ways than women. That's a fact. So, maybe more emotion would be beneficial in critical thinking?

I think it depends on the woman. I'd probably vote for Condi if she ran. She's smart, speaks four of five languages, is respected by most foriegn leaders and has had the good sense to stay out of most of the BS. She has more experience in foriegn policy than most of the presidents we've had. She tends to have a pretty logical reaction and deals in facts.

BTW, we had a woman president for eight years, it was just that she ran the country through her husband and NO ONE can accuse THAT woman of being emotional.

I am fine with or with out a man. I am just saying for a president. I am with my husband because I want to be. I certainly do not need him.

Now I do not think a woman should be president. Men and woman are different that is a fact. We are physically and mentally different. Now maybe one day a woman will become president (wont be with my help) and hopefully if that happens she will prove me wrong.

He, he...well said my dear-well said. In light of the fact there was only one president worth a flip, IMO, during my lifetime and he was assassinated, and since Teddy Roosevelt's not running, guess I'm voting for no one this time. I sure wouldn't vote for a woman that writes to Dear Abby...

So far I can't find anyone I would vote for, atleast not in the front runners. The only current Republican that I like their politics is Newt, and I can't get behind him for the same reason I didn't like Bill (besides his politics). I won't vote for Hillary because of her politics and the fact that she will say absolutely anything to get elected. No matter how moderate she tries to make herself, she is as far left as they come. Obama just doesn't have the experience in my opinion. I don't know near enough about him, but what I have heard worries me. Rudy is just on the wrong side of too many issues for my conservative republican self. It is hard to believe that in our whole system of prifessional politics, there is no 'good' canidate who is willing to run for the job. I am still praying that Fred Thompson will decide to jump into the race. I don't think anyone could beat him if he did, and he would be a great president. (He's the district attorney on Law and Order) He was a senator from TN until he decided to leave politics and go back into show buisness.

Wow...I find this attitude really saddening. I would expect it from a chauvenist male (thank goodness not all men are!), but for a woman to think so lowly of her own gender. Wow. That's just sad. There have been wonderful and effective woman leaders throughout history.

True, women and men are different...but it doesn't mean we aren't equally capable of being leaders. The style may be different but it doesn't mean one is necessarily better than the other.

LOL That's a funny way to describe it...

I'm actually more of a social liberal, but a fiscal conservative. Once I got out of college and started making some real money, I choked every time I saw how much was taken out in taxes. Ugh. Makes me mad every time I think about it. Redistribution of wealth has no place in government. I had high hopes for W. - even voted for him twice. Unfortunately, the man has never seen a spending bill that he didn't like.

I do not think lowly of our gender. I think women are awesome and extremly powerful if they are doing what they are best at and that is not being a man. We are all made for something and I realize all women are unique. I can see some being able to handle being a nurse or a police officer and others not. I personally would rather have a strong handsome man protecting me than a skinny 105 pound woman police officer to tell you the truth but say the woman was equally as strong and ok maybe not as dashing I guess either would do.

Anyway to each thier own opinion. We are not all called men or all called women their are great/huge differences in our make up. I am sure there may be better books but one that decribes thing pretty well is Raising Boys by Dr. James Dobson.

This is pretty amusing.

My mother, now well into her nineties, is the person whose picture you see when you look up 'Republican' in the dictionary. My son considers himself the most liberal person he knows. And even though he rarely demonstrates much in the way of good sense, he does not discuss politics with his grandmother.

I'm following his example, just this once, and I won't discuss politics with my new friends on the Dog Forum.
