I'm one of the few on here so far, I'm not Christian, I'm a liberal and I actually like Bill Clinton. Though I do have to say that I don't really like Hilary and I like Edwards even less. Obama has no experience....If only Gore would run again.... |

| Re: Lets Talk Politics... Hey Mdawn, I'm not a Christian either, I liked Clinton too (Bill, that is), but I haven't liked many democrats since. I voted for Kerry, but I voted libertarian when Gore ran. I don't think I will vote dem this time, as they all seem weak on the issues. |

At least people wouldn't be blaming the Republicans for all the trouble in the world. |

I'm moderate, leaning liberal on most things. And yes, I am Christian. (Liberal Christians are out there, I promise!)
Though when it boils down to it, I feel like each party will do the same thing in office.

Hehe yeah I'm a liberal Christian too Go us! LOL.
If I can become a citizen by next election I don't know who I will vote for either...I am still researching.
One thing I can say I DON'T believe in is pushing un-concerned people into voting. Last election (I live in a major university town) everyone was pushing all the college students and newly 18 year olds to vote and I personally think it's dreaful! I mean, don't get me wrong, I think it's VERY important for people of all ages to be voting...but they need to make an informed decision. I knew people who knew NOTHING about any of the candidates and simply picked a name at random. I think that anyone voting should know both sides pretty well so that they can make an informed decision based on the facts and not on whose name sounds better.... |

I guess we should just go back to holding our little fur balls and forget the reality of the world situation and let things be.. The liberals and the liberal media are what is ruining our great country as we speak. |

Most of that is due to the war in Iraq. May our soldiers come home safely.
Anyone watch the Daily Show or the Colbert Report? |

Anyone watch the Daily Show or the Colbert Report? | I dont know if you were being sarcastic or not, but the Daily Show/Colbert Report? Come on!
I think if bush was a better public speaker, no one would see him as an inferior dimwit who has toys in the oval office. The guy (and his advisers) knows what he is doing and you can just look at our economic growth while he was in office if you have any doubts |

Hmmm, Lyndon B Johnson, sent out boys to Vietnam (for NO reason) and got 58,226 of or boyskilled. Harry S Truman, sent our boys to Korea and 33,741 were killed. How about Franklin D Roosevelt? 406,000 of OUR soldiers and sailors were killed in WWII. By your reasoning NONE these guy should have been president.
We have lost around 3100 of our guys, There have been more than 100,000 Iraqi CIVILIANS killed, NOT by us, but by suicide bombers. Put the blame where it needs to lie, on the terrorists that have invaded the country!

It's totally okay for you not to be liberal or believe anything liberals believe, but please leave the name-calling out of it. I don't think you would be thrilled if we started calling all conservatives "numbskulls". It's rude. Quote:

Anyone watch the Daily Show or the Colbert Report? | I agree.
I watch the Daily Show. Some think it's ridiculous and out of line, but I don't. I mean some things are just plain silly...but sometimes they really put things into perspective. Some of the issues they discuss are just hilarious. |

I am sorry that people are still under the misapprehension that we are in Iraq to find WMPs or stop terrorism. I cannot even begin to imagine how anyone could believe that? We OBVIOUSLY won't be finding wmps over there, as we still haven't. Hussien is no longer in existence...so I don't see what the point of our boys being killed is anymore?
IMO, we shouldn't be trying to set up Iraq's goverment or whatever it is Bush claims we are doing over there now. I just think it's very sad that we still have troops dying overseas without a real need for them to be dying. I, in now way at all, blame our soldiers for what is happening, I have sympathy for all the boys and girls we have over there and I just wish we could bring them all home.
I just think it is completely useless for us to be in Iraq at this time. We should be dealing with our own problems and working on building up this economy not spending our limited supply of money on sending poor guys and gals to Iraq, for what...oil? I just hope that our troops will all come home soon so that no more people have to be killed. Our being in Iraq is not going to stop terrorism so it's ridiculous that Bush still has them over there.
