| I don't think those two camps could get along well enough. Obama seems like a fair person, but he doesn't have enough experience in foriegn affairs. Clinton is WAY too polarizing a figure. The rift will grow if she gets into office, plus quite frankly, I will vote for anyone who runs against her. I know too much about her as my husband had to work for her. She is frankly, not he nicest person, I wouldn't trust her to babysit my goldfish much less run the country. |

| I seem to be in the minority here, but I'm proud to be a liberal. I don't understand how anyone can say they would never vote for Hillary because she's a woman or because she's artificial, while you would vote for Bush. The guy is a liar, and he's done so much damage to the country's reputation and foreign relations. How is a man more capable of being a president than a woman? Both men and women are emotional, and if we're talking about who's more ruled by hormones and emotions, I'd have to say that would be men. As for Obama, being from Chicago I probably know more about him that some other people, and I like him a lot. But, whoever said he is too inexperienced is probably right.
You know what they say about politics... if you're young and republican, you have no heart, and if you're old and a democrat, you have no brain |

| I guess I've never had a heart then, I've been a Republican since I watched Carter run this country to near ruin. I was 14 when Reagan was elected and I watched him turn this country around and make it prosperous again, As far as Bush ruininng the countries reputation, I don't care what France and Germany think of this country, nor most of the Middle East which only has two democracies and one of those is doubtful. Bush quit backing down from the UN, which needs to be dissolved any how because it is an inefective self absorbed institution that thinks all countries should bow to it's wishes. Bush is not the prime example of a Repulican. He spends too much, and has made deals that have hurt industry in this country and is too lenient on Immagration issues ( sorry I don't feel sorry for anyone who comes inthis country illegally when people have been waiting 25-30 years to do so in a legal manner). The one thing I am glad he did was to take Saddam Hussien OUT of power. If anyone should be compared to Hitler, it would be Hussien, who BTW, admired Hitler and the Nazi party and fashioned his regime after it. The man murdered MILLIONS of people, held mock elections and allowed his sons to rape, murder and torture at will and gave aid and comfort to known terrorists. The US should have the backbone to do this more often. I'm glad I had the opportunity to watch him swing from a rope, somthing we weren't able to do to Hitler or his inner circle. http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/hti.../20060623.aspx http://image.guardian.co.uk/sys-file...ierenglish.pdf http://www.fas.org/news/iraq/2000/02/iraq99.htm |

Im 20 and Im a Republican, and I think that so many of the govt grants to help able people (ie Homeless) should be stopped. Am I mean, heartless, or perhaps evil? Probably, but I think the Republican path is the way to bettering the nation internally and externally. Quote:

| Also, as "bad" as you think the Republicans are when it comes to foreign policy, they are still 100 times better than the Democrats could have been. At least the Republicans are acting as if the US is a superpower and not beating around the bush like the Democrats tend to do. |

| ok, for the most part, i don't care if the party is Dem. or Rep. as long as they are for the "betterment" of the country and for the people.....but, one thing that i have seen over the past yrs since Bush has been in office is the decline in the "little people" being able to support their families.....if you are not in a high paying job, or things have happened in the family where income is cut almost in half, or you have lost a spouse, or there has been a major change of any sort to make a diff in the income, you are pretty much screwed.....there isn't much help out there to get you thru the rought times, b/c the Rep have made certain of that.....trickle down economics?.....yeah, it trickles down right into Bushes pockets.....and as for the whole Bin Laden (?)/Hussen deal?....well, i won't EVEN go there.....that would def. open up a can of worms.....
but, as i say, i don't care what party they are w/ as i know there has been a fair share of Dem that have done bad for the country, as well.....
anyone see the movie "Dave"?.....that's the kind of Pres we need..... |

| The president dosn't have alot to do with soaring home prices or the gas prices, that, unfortunatly is a product of supply and demand. I for one can tell you I m MUCH better off than I was 10 years ago under the clinton administration when the military families were getting .25% pay raises and livng in delapitated military housing. With the first pay raise we got from Mr. Bush, we bought a home in Dale City, Va we sold that home when we got transferred to Ca where I can't afford to buy because the prices are so inflated here. However, I did invest the money we made on our house wisely and when we leave here, I can afford to pay cash in my husbands home town for a house. I'm also not buying here because frankly, the housing market is in a huge bubble here and I won't be caught when that bubble explodes and the California market crashes.
Oh, we are a one income family, I no longer have to work to make ends meet and I can take care of my kids and do volunteer work. |

And the market wont explode. You live in SoCal... The prices might "stabilize" but you wont see a substantial drop until the next earthquake. I think you are talking about the bubble in the lending industry which is pretty much burst already. At least 3 HUGE investors we work with closed down and no one is accepting 100% financing anymore. Where before you could get a loan for a house just with a signature, now it hard to get a loan going Full Doc (declaring income, bank statements, etc). Sub-Prime mortgage is dead in the water as of right now, but like I said, this is California. The market will rebound in a few years.
