| Visually, I think it may be worth my $9. Please give us your best Roper and Ebert impression once you've seen it. |

| Eh, IDK. I like action/adventure/fighting films, but this....IDK. To me the fighting style looks weird, and then the only thing I know about the movie is that there are lots of fighting parts. The trailors say NOTHING about the movie's plot whatsoever, which I hate movies with crappy plots...I would like to know how it is though! |

Besides movies about Rome, Greece, or any other ancient people are the best. |

| I'm with you on this one. I remember, from my school days way back, that it's a great story. Although I won't see it anytime soon so I'll have to be live vicariously through you and your review! |

| My boyfriend and I can't wait for it too. Sad thing is, we have 2 boys that want to see it too. One is 9 almost 10 years old and the other is 13. They are almost 100% positive they won't be able to see it. |

| I heard it was terrible. As I feared, it seems to be a lot of screaming of "THIS IS SPARTA". |

| My son, my daughter's boyfriend and I went to see it yesterday. (Now THAT was an interesting outing.)
It is a visually stunning spectacle. There IS a plot, of sorts, (it's basically a true story) but don't let that discourage you.
It's a Persian public relation nightmare so, if you're one of those people who believes that WWII movies portray the Nazis in an unfair light, you might want to stay away.
Tonight, at 8 eastern on the History channel is a documentary about the true story that formed that basis for the movie.
FWIW, probably not a good movie for 9-10 year olds unless they are thinking that their lives are hard. At about that age, Spartan boys went to boot camp and, if they survived, they were soldiers for life.
Life was frequently pretty short. |

| We paid $8.00 for Friday matinee tickets.
And $4.00 for a small soda.
There were a total of six people in the theater, so I think they decided not to turn the heat on. (They need at least 10 to do that.) |

| Saw it last weekend...LOVED IT!!! I'm not one to buy movies, but that's one we WILL be buying when it comes out on DVD. Beautifully shot, great action (I'm one of those 'weird' chicks who HATES sappy movies! Give me an action flick any day of the week!)
...and I give two thumbs up to the costume designers Gerard Butler...just...WOW....My new favorite actor Quote: |

| Thanks for the heads up! Off to set the DVR!!
(and whoever mentioned earlier about their 9 or so aged sons wanting to see it...umm...I'd have to go with "inappropriate for youngsters")

Stupid me, I was more worried about training her to be reliable off leash, whether than polite while on one. It paid off on our hike, though!! |
