I just noticed this business on the bottom of my CP. Two negative, which made me LOL, but it says I have 7 in total. Can I no longer read those five? I can't respond to these? I hate complete anonymity!

Wow, I never noticed this before. I'm new though and I still don't know how most things work on here. I finally found what you are talking about and saw that I have 11 points... but I can't figure out how to tell if they are negative or positive. How does this work? Can anyone give anyone a good or bad point? And for any reason?
How can I figure out how many points I have in each direction?

Yeah, yeah, I probably shouldn't care, but I'm curious more than anything else. A lot of my responses haven't really gotten much feedback, so I wondered if no one was reading them. I guess they were.

LOL don't worry about it, the rest of us ignore it. I have some really funny ones that have been left by people that I've had disagreed with, a few of which were later banned. Just check it occasionally and if there's anything inappropriate, PM a moderator and we'll take action against whoever left it (it's not completely anonymous, the mods can see who left it). oh, you can see the latest rep left to you in your Control panel.

LOL. I just hadn't noticed it until now and I was like "Who hates me!?" I only hate anonymity because I don't want anyone to dislike me on differing opinions.

I know! All these questions came flooding to me. I was concerned that if I got too many negative points if I would be suspended or banned or something. I have 7 points, and my top two comments are negative, so it raised a red flag for me.
I thought the same thing. I get a response once in a blue moon, so I didn't know where they had came from. Curiosity gets the best of me. I like to be able to smooth things over if I made anyone mad enough to come leave a comment on my page.

You can usually figure out who it was. Just look at who the last 10 visitors to your profile was and see on what thread they were arguing with you. Then give them one right back.

I had never realized that either and I have 10 points

! But of the two that are showing one is positive and one is negative, I think? They used some abbreviation I don't know, but I think it was bad. Considering it ends with fu I am pretty sure it wasn't good.

I don't like the rep thing...seems like just an anonymous way to put someone down or bash their beliefs.

I checked mine just for the heck of it...most of my bad rep is because of something I believe

One of them I think was a mistake...someone gave me bad rep for believing something, when I don't even believe that!! I said the exact opposite of what he accused me of saying on a thread... Weird!!!

I like the Rep system.

I don't give bad rep points. I don't believe in that. But I think it's nice to recognize people for particularly good or informative, important posts... I guess I'm a weirdo around here.

I hope no one cares if I give them rep points.

I never realized they were there! Two of them on mine show up, one of them, negative, doesn't have a link to the thread (says n/a), and the other is a no comment, but positive.

I've never given rep points or comments.

Same here. I've never given anyone any bad rep, but I give people good rep all the time. I put my name on it when I do.
