The Westchester Shore Humane Society, Inc. was founded in 1929 and Now We Are On the BRINK OF EXTINCTION!

We are asking for YOUR HELP! We are asking you to PLEASE DONATE to OUR SAVE OUR SHELTER FUND. We are a NO KILL SHELTER and ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE. (The humane society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and all contributions are tax deductible. )

PLEASE HELP SAVE OUR SHELTER and All Our UNWANTED PETS that are HOUSED at our shelter. Its an ongoing mission, in addition to our role as an animal shelter, is to provide an effective means for prevention of cruelty to animals, to enforce all laws which are now or may hereafter be enacted for the protection of animals, and to secure, by lawful means, the arrest and conviction of any person violating such laws.

The humane society originally served nine communities in southern Westchester and we are now down to five because one by one

another organization has sabotaged our shelter by taking Our Contracts and Our Money to run our shelter and THEY WILL BE FORCING US TO CLOSE.

WHERE DO OUR ANIMALS GO?

On average, the humane society will receive and respond to almost 2,000 calls yearly, regarding animals. The society is a strong advocate for mandatory spaying/neutering of dogs and cats, to help alleviate the distressing problem of pet overpopulation. We Ask You Once Again,

I just did a reverse phone number lookup.
So far this seems very legit.

I do wish that you had setup some sort of PayPal instead of sending checks and donations that way.

Possible link to a website would also make people feel better about donating to your cause. I'm from Philly area and we just had 2 local Shelters get shut down.

I am doing my PhD and trying to get 200 dog lovers to take a survey on website use. If you complete the survey, then I have it set up that you can either opt for a $5 ebay gift card or you can donate the $5 to the Humane Society of the US. If you would like I can donate the $5 to the Westchester Shore Humane Society. This will allow people to make a donation without making a payment, since there is always the risk of a scam on the Internet. If you would like to do that, please visit one of these links to take the survey - when you complete the survey then select the Humane Society option, but I will direct it to this organization. If 200 people do this, I will make a donation of $1000 (200 x $5) each.

How are they taking your contracts and money? I don't understand that at all.

What brought this on, how is the community responding to it, and what media outlets have been informed of this?


What exactly is your purpose and commitment to the animals? As a no kill facility, do you take each surrender in, or is it a controlled environment at all?

Will having another facility take on the demand you are provided not help funding in the long run?
