| Movie Talk Grr...stack of Dvds in front of me and I can't decide what to watch!!!
Im really huge into martial arts movies and actions/thriller/horror/adventure type stuff..
I am looking at
Equilibrium starring Christian Bale, Emily Watson and Taye Diggs in a 1984/Big Brother type of scenario
Legend of the Red Dragon starring Jet Li, Tse Miu and Yau Shuk Ching which is about a group of Novice Shaolin Monks who have Bits of a secret rebel map tattooed on their backs and and Evil lord and his monster man are trying to hunt down the young monks. its a kids movie but seems really interesting
and then There is Kung Fu Hustle which I have seen before but find extremely hilarious. its roger rabbit meets kung fu movie...
Which first?
and feel to blab about films in this thread...love to hear good movies to watch... |

ETA: [/HIJACK] | dude...none of those are hollywood films...I hate hate hate hollywood films...I would much rather watch Jet Li beat up a giant fire breathing centipede while dressed as dancing chicken. the two kung fu movies are strait out of china(literally..my sister bought them in Hong Kong) and the other is a british flick... | Re: Movie Talk I saw "Movies" in the title...Had to click. I watch way too many movies. I love all types of movies too. Except for chick flicks, but I've been known to enjoy a romance or two.
I've never heard of Equilibrium, which is odd. I love Christian Bale though. The Machinist is amazing. If you haven't seen it, I'd definitely suggest it. Bale's anything but sexy in it though.
And I was just talking about Monty Python with my professor today. I love The Holy Grail, but The Meaning of Life might be my favorite.
What's everyone's favorite movies.? |

What's everyone's favorite movies.? | I own everything Christian Bale has been in from Swing Kids to the new Batman movies. Loved the Machinist.
My current favorite is a bit obscure.
its called Sympathy for Lady Vengeance.
I enjoy a lot of asian drama/horror/martial arts movies.
and british comedy.
Equilibrium had its good points and a few bad ones. It was creative and intriguing but ultimately predictable. Don't let that stop you from checking it out tho... |

| Re: Movie Talk We don't really watch a lot of movies here, but we enjoy silly stuff mostly. Napoleon Dynamite (you either love it or hate it), Drop Dead Fred, What About Bob, Princess Bride... stuff like that. Oh, the Evil Dead movies are really funny, great for Halloween time, and Army of Darkness too.
And I love Monty Python. My husband doesn't though....
I totally hate commercials too. THat is why I record stuff on my DVR. Then I can watch my shows and fast forward through the commercials. |
