30 going on 16...

Does anyone have a good zit remedy? It's for that one big one that pops up every *month*

I've tried over the counter stuff but does anyone have a tried and true method that will take it down over night or within a day or two?

Why do they always pop up when you have some big presentation or something!!?? Boo hoo

Re: 30 going on 16...

Complete T-Zone!

Forehead, nose, chin and upper cheeks WAY oily... lower cheeks SOOOOOO dry.

Think back to my makeup thread... that is why I wear NO makeup at all on my face.

UGH!

Re: 30 going on 16...

Proactiv has worked great for me. I was the type to get a good one about the same time every month....joys of being female.

To prevent this, I have never had any acne because I basically wash my face with this apricot scrub in the shower every day, its St. Ives.

It gets off all that dead skin and makes your face feel fresh and smooth the second you wash it off.

Re: 30 going on 16...

I used to use that when I was younger (I would steal my mom's lol). It used to work GREAT for me! But then all of a sudden, not so much anymore. It used to make my face soooo soft! My skin is stupid and tempermental...

Re: 30 going on 16...

They have new formulas now.

They have kinds with medicine, and a lot of other kinds! My mom uses the medicine kind, but that kind makes my skin burn and not nice, I just use the regular kind, it hasn't stoped working unless I forget to use it for like a week.

I use the clean and clear "morning burst" its a bright orange scrubbeee face soap. The best one i've ever used was a similar product but it was made by Avon.

Re: 30 going on 16...

Proactiv is all that works for me. I don't have a ton, but it's always like 1 here, as that clears up, another one there. Arggh.

And then my DH says, "you're old, you shouldn't get zits. You need to see a doctor about that." Stupid men! LOL And I'm not THAT old, I'm only 34. Geeesh.

So what do you do with the toothpaste or ACV, just dab it on before bed?

Re: 30 going on 16...

OK so I tried the toothpaste... 2 things happened....

1. Ozzy came up to me while I was sleeping and licked my face... LOL
2.After I reapplied, the smell of it on my face made me kinda sick-ish so I had to clean it off.

Pepper... I got some of that apricot stuff to try again... dare I say that I like it???? We'll see *knocks on wood*

MyCharlie... OLD? pffft! Tell him to shove it!
