The boyfriend is an actuary at a life insurance co., which is how we can afford a dog and a nice apartment while I'm in grad school. |

| Re: What do you all do for a living? I am a retired child and family therapist (MSW in social work). I quit when I had my daughter 17 years ago. I was completely convinced I would go back to work but, I liked my new job too much and my DH could afford to support us.
For the past few years I have been earning some money by making pottery and gardening for a few clients. So, I am a stay-at-home self-employed dirt and muck wrangler. It's fun. |

| Re: What do you all do for a living? I work at a local pet food/supply specialty shop. In my off days I also volunteer at the local Humane Society. So it's pretty much animals all the time. That and a lot of helpless first time owners that need guidance along the way |

| Re: What do you all do for a living? I'm a high school English teacher.
I've done retail and food service. I worked at Disneyland for a while. I've volunteered at a local historical society and am currently a volunteer at the SPCA.
There are many things about my job that I love. The majority of my kids are very cool, my collegues are extremely supportive, and I get fantastic vacation time. I do not, however, love the amount of time and energy this job drains from me. It's not something I can just leave behind when I walk out the door at 3 o'clock (or 5 o'clock, as the case sometimes is). If I am not doing something for work, then I should be, pretty much all the time. Yikes! |

| Re: What do you all do for a living? I'm a full-time student majoring in Communications with a minor in Public Relations. I'm also a stay-at-home dad, and a freelance copy writer/creative consultant. However, I'll soon be adding graphic and web design to my list of services. That way I can get my site up and running lol ( www.illuminated-concepts.com). *coughs*shamelessplug*cough*. |

It's a third (and hopefully final) career following several years of professional SCUBA teaching and 28 years of owning a photography and picture framing business. This is the first job I've had with actual paid benefits. |

| Re: What do you all do for a living? I work for USPS as a clerk in a small-town Post Office. Sometimes I carry mail, too, if they need me. When you work in a small office, you do whatever needs doing . Even emptying the trash if the cleaning lady is on vacation . |

| Re: What do you all do for a living? First, what I used to do. I owned 10 McDonalds' franchises in 5 cities for over 25 years. Then I dusted off my license to practice law, and practiced for a couple of years. Really wasn't for me. Now I'm a distributor for SendOutCards.com and am really loving what I'm doing. We're currently sponsors for this website, visit www.CustomDogCards.com. I really appreciate the support we're getting from the forum--it really means something to me and my family (and our dogs and cats, of course.) |
