Well I wouldn't go as far as to say "best band ever", but they definitely are classic, and do always put a smile on my face when I hear a song of theirs.
What I do love about the band is that there aren't many songs I don't like. They have tons, and for the most part, they're all pretty darn good.
The song "Your My Best Friend" is always a hit with me too, I used it for a slideshow I did of my pets.

Ehhhh...overrated and overplayed. They have a few songs that are good for the right time (Bohemian Rhapsody for drunken late night singalongs, We are the Champions/We Will Rock You for cliched sporting events...), but best band EVER? Not a chance.

Mm, I do not favor The Beetles that much, and I prefer newer bands to the Queen, but some of their songs are truly spirit lifters for the right occasion.
And that is what really counts. If you find a certain band, or song really, that lifts your spirit, that surpasses any other great bands out there who can get top five for the 32nd week in a row or whatever.
Music is about the soouul man, and if it uplifts the soul, then it is the best in my eyes
Anyone can sing pretty with meaningful lyrics and a good violinist/drummer for accentuation.. But could they make you smile when you cry? Laugh when you are depressed? Bring a room or car full of people out of a spat and begin singing along?
Has happened on more than one occasion
