Febreeze antibacterial spray

Two thumbs up!! You can't use lysol on most fabrics so it's nice to have a fabric safe antibacterial spray. Plus I've been a neat freak lately and have been spraying it on the carpets to disinfect from the dog's dirty paws/toys/bones etc and make the carpets smell better (I'm still working on convincing my SO to get a steam cleaner....).

I love it too! I love the scent. Ozzy likes it, he mushes his face into the couch after I spray it lol

I'm kinda freaky about antibacterial anything.....I have a weird feeling that the antibacterial stuff is more dangerous than the bacteria . But sometimes I gotta use something just to get the smell out. Thanks for the tip! I'll have to pick some up.

Hmm. I don't like spraying anything - I don't think it is good to inhale that stuff or any room spray. I think we are so commercialized in believing it has to smell good/perfumy to be clean. I stopped using any sprays when i knew it could possibly kill my parrot. I know they are little - but if it's not good for their little lungs I sure as heck don't want to breath it. I would also be careful spraying that around a small child.

I have a steam cleaner - that's the way to go!

do you have a steam cleaner for the carpet? I want one that I can use on carpet and floors so I don't have to use stinky chemicals for the floors.

I don't normally use air fresheners and things because I'm with you, breathing that stuff in can't be that good for you... but when the house smells like wet dog food or he's chewing his butcher bones on the carpet or couch (grr!) I get to a point when I can't take it anymore lol!

I totally get what you meant when they well ..sometimes they just stink Especially when company is coming over.

I use a steam cleaner for the carpets. We needed it for our big dogs. They are a little pricey but we just bought new carpet and I want to make it last longer.

I also bought a steamer type vacuum thing for my tiles and can be used on hardwood as it doesnt' get really wet and you can control the amount of water to use on the handle. I bought it at Sears for $100 and it only uses water - no chemicals. Just flug it in and start steaming the tiles. Great as you don't kill your back trying to clean the floors. I never found one that could do both carpets and hard surfaces.

I don't use those sprays indoors. I will use them in my present car to freshen it up (cloth seats) before selling it, but thankfully my new MINI has leatherette seats. I clean with vinegar and baking soda and natural cleaning supplies in my house, the sprays and other chemical things are scary!!

I've been using borax and baking soda as a bathroom cleaner lately. It works WAY better than any stinky bathroom cleaner I've ever tried!
