| Reporting Posts The moderators appreciate it when you report a post as spam or report other problems. We cannot possibly read every post on every thread, so you are our eyes and ears.
However, if you are going to report a post, please don't quote it or respond to it because then we have to deal with YOUR post as well.
Thank you for your attention. I'm glad we had this little conversation.
Is case you are uncertain, you report a post by clicking on . Please don't use this to report a post you disagree with.

| Re: Reporting Posts Thanks Ron! I had been wondering if it was actually helpful if we report posts or more of a hindrance since you guys (and gals) are always so on the ball.
So I'm glad we had this conversation too LOL.
As always, you mods rock! |

But shouldn't this be in the Suggestions / Feedback forum or the Attention All New Members forum? |

You all make us look good by reporting suspect posts. When you do that, an email goes to all the moderators and the first one to see it will take appropriate action.
Sometimes I'll see a problem before it's reported, but it's very rare.
The other little secret is that Curb never sleeps. |

Yeah, you don't have to look at a forum filled with ads like the SIX that I deleted that were posted in about five minutes for unlocked Iphones and grey market Apple computers. You guys don't what we delete after we take care of it, so the forum stays clean and spam free.
Oh, and lets not forget the huge troll attack we had a few months ago, if it hadn't been for the forum members we never would have gotten it all cleaned up!
BTW, if anyone sees threads asking for money or donations to indiviuals please report them. It's absolutely NOT allowed!

It's not really squealing if you're reporting spammers. They are out in force right now pushing everything from grey market iPods to vegetable oil. |

| Re: Reporting Posts Don't worry, Harrise, I was a tattle tale this morning too LOL. But not sure if it was the kind of post we're supposed to tattle on. Oh well.
And personally, I prefer olive oil to vegetable oil.
And where in the world did the phrase "tattle tale" come from??? Curb, you usually know these kinds of things. |

I do feel a tad guilty, as this morning's link I reported was one I ended up actually interested in LOL. I'm such a sucker. |

Really? A tattletale is a wireless security system. That leaves a bitter taste on the pallet.
From wisegeek (hey, that's you harrise!): Quote: |
The word tattletale is a compound word that owes its roots to several languages. To tattle is to tell and is derived from the Flemish verb tatelen which means to stutter, and the Frisian term tateren which translates to “to tell tales or secrets.” Talo is a Germanic term related to the words talk and tell. When put together, as they were first in the 15th century, a tattletale is someone who betrays secrets or “tells on” others.
