Well, duck_girl, some homeschooled kids ARE like that, so you can't really argue the point. None of my close friends were, but there was one family in our homeschooling group that was seriously freaky. The mom was a dog trainer

. I don't agree with parents keeping their kids too sheltered. You need to make sure they have plenty of life experiences while they're young.
I was in a hurry last time, so I couldn't say all I wanted....it might also be noted that kids of a certain age are very impressionable, and absorb the opinions of anybody they're close to. For some kids, this is their parents, teachers, or other adults, for others, their friends and other kids. It doesn't matter if they're homeschooled or not, it's just a phase they go through.
