| Those of us traveling the distinguished road... I figured it out. The red square says you have had some a little shamelful (shameless?) behavior in the past. Means you have gotten X amount of neg reps.
The green says you are on a distinguished road- means you have some good rep points and people generally like the things you say.
BUT RONE- his says he will be famous soon enough!
So I want to take this opporunity to say:
"I knew him way back when."
....and can I have your autograph? |

Seriously, I think dog forums would be a happier place if we ditched the reputation point system. I would get rid of it if I could. |

It's talking about people behind their back, but right in front of them! That sounds like it doesnt make sense, but believe me... it does. |

| Re: Those of us traveling the distinguished road... It does make sense. It should be set up to where it says who left the comment, I think it would reduce the amount of rep people leave because they don't want confrontation. I personally don't pay attention to it anymore. |

Or finding a members house and signing them up for naughty mailing lists, having dumpsters deliverred to their house, mailing them glitter bombs, or having a ton of manure delivered to their front lawn? |

| Re: Those of us traveling the distinguished road... Personally, and this is just my opinion, I just don't understand having "issues" on a dogforum, or any forum for that matter. You have a problem with someone, skip over their post of shut your computer off! There are way too many things going on in "real life" to sit and get all upset about what some stranger is saying about how to clean dog crap off a rug. I have a temper and a half but in here I usually skip over something that I don't like.
And for the record, one thing that irks me beyond belief (not naming names) - I can't stand when someone says something rude or sarcastic but then puts the little "wink guy" at the end. Grrrr that ticks me off!
Ok that's all folks. |

| Re: Those of us traveling the distinguished road... i enjoy the negative rep comments (sometimes i get positive ones as well, believe it or not).
however, i do find it cowardly for people to leave a comment anonymously.
here are some of the more recent ones:
Way to sound like a sexist jerk.
Nice parenting skills obviously. Maybe you should have gotten a dog before you had kids. As many people have told you before, you are not the only person here who loves their dog. At least some of us actually care enough to do what is RIGHT for them.
your jack-ass comments are getting past amusing. |

| Re: Those of us traveling the distinguished road... Ok dumb question time. In the user CP how do I view my rep comments. I was fumbling around in there the other day and I couldn't figure out how to see them.
On the topic of reputation. I don't take much stock in it. Its just a little teeny tiny square anywho, who cares what color it is.... I guess I'm still doing what my mom told me: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.... |

| Re: Those of us traveling the distinguished road... When you click on user cp and the page comes up you should see a box at the bottom that says "Latest Reputation Received" with any comments that were left. But if the arrow on the right hand side of the box is pointing down that means it must have got minimized some how. So click on that and it should come up.
And to whoever left the positive comment in my rep box from this topic, thanks! |
