| I like my dog better than most people, and he's dysfunctional. I just have to vent. I had a bad day. I was being hormonal, my SO was being a putz, and I had to endure a number of catty remarks from little witchy females throughout the day.
Took my dog to a baseball game and was constantly telling people not to touch him or let their kids touch him because he might bite. The poor guy is exhausted tonight because he was so on defense all day. I didn't realize it would be that stressful for him. There weren't that many people there, but they just wouldn't leave him alone.
I almost left early. Not just for my dog's sake, but because people were getting on my nerves. So ya. I like my dog better than most people and he's dysfunctional. |

| Re: I like my dog better than most people, and he's dysfunctional. Be careful not to say you like your dog better than most people, because some people will automatically think you're crazy, or something. *rolls eyes* I go to an anime forum, where we were talking about what makes life worth living, and I had said my pets were what made my life worth it, and immediately, people started asking if I was mentally retarded, or had I been molested or abused as a child, what could possibly make a person love animals more than humans? -_-
People are stupid. Your poor dog and you. It's sad that you can't even take him to a game without having him get so upset because people couldn't get the hint that your dog needed to be left alone. |

| Re: I like my dog better than most people, and he's dysfunctional. Katzyn, I'm part of an Anime community too but everyone there seems to understand how much I love my pets. Then again, it's a local community and many of them have actually met my dogs...
This quote says it all;
"The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, he will make a fool of himself too." Samuel Butler (1835 - 1902) British writer, painter, and musician.
They don't judge you, they're a shoulder to cry on. They won't blame you for everything or nag you (sometimes...). A dog's love is the most honest.
While I have plenty of human friends, nothing beats just sitting around or playing with my overgrown pups |

At least dogs don't flirt with your SO, tell you that you just looked like you were trying to look pregnant before now, or tell your SO he has nothing to worry about regarding raising children because if the kid ends up screwed up people will just blame the mother anyway.
Or, get mad at you for taking your dog to a baseball game so he can enjoy some sunshine and fresh air instead of sitting in a cage in a hot house all day. Sorry but maybe you should teach your children not to RUN up to strange dogs and try to pet them, especially after the owner has told you not to pet the dog because he might bite. Or adults, learn to take no for an answer for goodness sake. (Nobody got bitten, I was super careful to keep him away and tell people to stay away and worst case scenario I would pick him up and walk away, but some people ...). |

| Re: I like my dog better than most people, and he's dysfunctional. It was tempting. Especially when she went and sat beside him at lunch and was eating the fries off his plate. I'm not really a jealous person but when she's constantly throwing herself at him I just want to shake her and say "go find your own man!".
The flirting is bad enough, but the catty comments and when I talk to her she pretends I don't exist, that makes me want to punch her. |

| Re: I like my dog better than most people, and he's dysfunctional. Okay, so, when I take my dogs for walks and I see large breed dogs, I go home and get my bat. Maybe you should do that too!! LOL
There are only 3 people I like more than my dogs, because I think humans take life to seriously, and are too materialistic. |

That has nothing to do with you being jealous and everything to do with her showing a lack of respect and social boundaries. It doesn't matter if your SO is a saint, that kind of crap is unacceptable.
FTR, I, too, prefer the company of animals, for more reasons than I have time to list. Suffice it to say, I think that most animals are better people than most people. |

| Re: I like my dog better than most people, and he's dysfunctional. *nods* I just read an article about two boys who killed a neighbors cat by putting it in the mircowave and cooking it to death, all while it was screaming in agony. So, can anyone tell me the last time any animal did anything so horribly evil, just for the sake of "fun"? Yeah, I thought not.
The other anime/gaming forum I belong to somewhat respects my love for animals, although..there is one guy, who is kinda my "friend" on there, who loves posting pictures of dead/tortured/diseased/ect animals, just to get me mad. He doesn't do it very often anymore, though, because I finally really chewed him out about it.
And I know, it's perfectly normal to love animals more, but I was just taken aback by the response those idiots gave me...I mean, it's the kind of response I would have given those two boys I just mentioned who tortured the cat. o_o The way they reacted to me was like they thought I was mass murdering people, or molesting children. *laugh*
"Asshats". I love that word. XD |

There's NOTHING wrong with 'marking' your territory with such little *****'*! I gaurantee you if it were my man her face would have been used to mop a couple floors!

| Re: I like my dog better than most people, and he's dysfunctional. He's totally oblivious. He doesn't see it as flirting, and even if he did he's too "nice" to do anything about it, unless she was really obvious or crossed the line.
He doesn't understand why I was annoyed by the catty remarks either. Men. |
