I'm sorry you were bitten, but I'm glad you realize that when you get your dog, you will be the one that is responsible for the training. Instead of hating the dog that bit you, how about recognizing that its owners were not as responsible as you are going to be, and are the ones to blame because they did not teach their dog not to bite. It's not surprising that an untrained dog acts like an untrained dog.
Would you care to share the circumstances that led to the bite? Maybe there's something you can do to keep it from happening again. Also, it's important that you let someone know about this incident, both to protect it from happening to others, and to make sure that the dog has had it's rabies shot.

And DogAdvocate is right. You should let the owners know of their dogs behavor, and make sure that your health hasn't been affected any by the bite. You have handled your predicament well Allie.
