Exclamation Internet/Website Savvy People Out There??

I NEED HELP!!! How do you delete website that I personally made years ago? I HAD to make a website for my college class and I was all excited that I actually made a website. So I uploaded my resume (back then I was hoping somebody would actually hire me from my website), pictures, projects and portfolios up in the website (required by my professor then). So anyway, I got a phone call from this person I have not talked to in like 10 years since I moved to the US. (my phone number is in my resume, i still have the same number...) and now that person is in the US and i guess is trying to reconnect but I just find everything so weird (close to creepy) I mean it was very random but this person said he just googled my name and voila my old website popped in seconds and thats how he got my number. Now what if a really creepy person decide to stalk me ya know?
So anyway, I just want to delete that website (my parent's home address is in there too). I've contacted my professor but she said that I need to schedule an appointment with her and she'll teach me how to do it. I told her I live in a different state now and she said it will be just too hard to explain it through email. WTF#@&*$##@&$#*(&(^!!!!!! grrrrrr!!! ughh... i really hope somebody can just help me delete it. I didn't even think about this website I made years ago until this person from the past called me. I hope I can delete it. I mean, I COULD change my number but I can't ask my parents to move.
HELP!!!

What company did you use to create the site? If you remember, google them and hit the contact us page and ask them to delete it or log in and delete it.

Run your site through Who is, it should give you the info you need.

Even if you delete the website this person can probably find you on Zaba Search.

You'd be surprised how much info ends up on Google... I hear employers are also starting to use it lately to look up the backgrounds of potential employees, even. Unless you are SUPER careful, you will always tend to leave bits of personal info on the internet that others can trace you with.

Re: Internet/Website Savvy People Out There??

Even if you don't use the internet at all, the information is out there. Back in 2000 I did some side work with an I.D. verification company. The databases were all online, and the companies with the info were more than willing to give a trial period to us for a month. Scared the crap out of people. All I needed was a first and last name. Using that, it was possible to find out nearly everything from credit to vehicle registrations. Hopefully things are better controlled these days, but I doubt it. All you had to do is say you're doing consultant work for "x" and you're in. Not as easy as finding your old page, but if "creeps" are what worries you, the creepiest will find a way...
