| YOUR favorite smells Something in another forum made me think of this. It's kind of a weird question for me because my sense of smell has never been too keen, but I have a few smells that drive me crazy, in a good way:
1. Horse smell: I don't really know what it is or what causes it; I guess it's a mixture of body odor, hay, straw, grain, maybe even a little horse poop tossed in there. Whatever it is, I can't get enough of it. I love going to the barn after I haven't been there for a week because it's the first thing I notice and it reminds me that I've been away for too long.
2. New book/magazine smell. I cannot describe this one, but when I get a new book, any kind of book, or magazine, I find myself holding it up to my nose and taking a few good whiffs. Maybe it's the type of paper, and the ink, I don't know, but nothing beats it.
3. And the obvious one: puppy breath. Need I say more? |

I was a competitive swimmer, life guard, swim teacher and SCUBA instructor.
The smell of chlorine brings back nothing but happy memories.
Also, wet dog, for the same reason. |

And the one that's freshest in my mind at this moment... Frangipani Flowers I was just out in the garden and they're blooming. |

| Re: YOUR favorite smells I hate cigarettes and cigars but I do like the smell of pipe tobacco. Reminds me of my dad sitting in his Hugh Hefner robe reading a book. And no, not the girly mag.
White Lightning. It's a cleaning agent for bicycles. Nothing like the smell of a clean bike.
Strawberry lip gloss. Do the math. |

| Re: YOUR favorite smells I think the smell of horses is probably the smell that can most 'liven' any day; for me, that is! There are so many scents involved with them too, but it's the combination that does it for me...barn, leather, sweat...everything!
The coffee isle in grocery stores...or any coffee shop
Freshly mowed grass...
The smell that comes with rain
Bath and Body works; the store... |
