Btw, were you able to get my response to your question on dog behavior??? |

Katherine..great news about your new van and the Pup coming soon!
R...I had a slight problem with Puddles doing that to men..I havent got a clear answer yet to relay except for * its a submissive act (duh) * Its a reflex * UTI (ruled out) * spay incontinece (ruled out because it is only 3 people she does it with) * Voice reaction (deeper, lower decibel voice calms her reflexes.
The 3 she does it with arent allowed to speak or acknowledge her until she potties outside. After that she is fine. Good luck..
Congrats Kim and Shaina!! | She would potty outside and come inside and constantly pee as much as she could whenever I did something that worried her. So it comes out in little dribbles everywhere and even if she's "out" of it she still tries.
I don't use my voice around her because it's a sure way to get her to do it. But it's difficult when just walking around her can get her to do it, or even raising my hand to set it on the computer desk when she's 6' away from me... Quote:

He's written several books on animal behavior. If you do a search, you might be able to find something that would help.
Gotta go get ready for work. Hope everyone has a great day. See you all tonite. | Thanks for the recommendation I'll check his books out. I picked up "The Other End of the Leash" and it's excellent so far. I figure first I need to learn her behavior and my behavior before I can move forward with any training. Quote:

| R don't throw all of that way of thinking out. You do realize that all progress has been the result of SOMEONE refusing to accept the status quo.
From Ptolemy to Copernicus, Einstein to Hawking, Lincoln to Marie Curie. All refused to accept that the world view was the correct view and we are all better off as a result.
Sorry all, tilting done for the day. |

Sorry all, tilting done for the day | I don't disagree, but I mean... I thought the WORLD should do as I willed it. Control over everything, people, things, and all. Manipulation was my specialty. I still do change what I feel is right, but I've learned to take the other end into account as well as look at all sides of the issue. Because, you know, the world doesn't revolve around me. Put two people like I was together, with authority, is how war and violence happens. Only one can be right. Quote:
