Dom, I read back to catch up. Glad Aslan's having the bump removed. And YES, you should have him neutered the same day. First, it's better for him health wise in the long run. Less chance of developing prostate cancer. And second, having him under anesthesia as few times as possible is always best.
Jenn, glad you came up with a short term plan. Too bad you didn't think of it sooner huh? You wouldn't have had so much grief to deal with in the new place. Things will work out.. they always do.... somehow....
SDO glad you're back. I know what you mean about the melting snow and the emerging piles... I've got quite a few of my own out there. Not looking forward to that clean up detail.. Yech!!!
Did I miss anybody???? |

| Re: Ever have one of those days..... Reno you said it perfect- it is only a temporary solution. I am still going to work with a trainer on their SA issues. They are on a strict NILIF routine. They will now sit patiently when it's time for a walk. This is a HUGE improvement from jumping up and down and head butting me when I try to settle them down. We're taking baby steps. That may have been my problem. I wanted a quick fix. Take it from me- you don't need any books, or fancy trainers to train a dog- you just need TIME and PATIENCE. But a trainer comes in handy when you are lacking the latter. So we will take this one day at a time, and as long as the dogs are happy, and I dont get evicted, I will be happy too. My uncle trained his Golden. he is now 2 years old and my uncle can tell him to sit and answer the door of trick or treaters for crying out loud with the dog just sitting in the living room. My uncle once went out in the garage after telling the dog to sit, got distracted, and came back 10 minutes later and the dog was still sitting. Oops!! Sprockett is a gorgeous well behaved golden. he still has his share of trouble, digging up the sprinklers is his hobby. But it just shows that patience and time spent can make leaps and bounds in training.
How was everyone else's day? |

| Re: Ever have one of those days..... ROAR!
Apparently, I've been far too MIA.
So, my apologies, I shall grace you with my lastest Ollie pictures!
I need to resize and upload them first, though. Then I'm here for the night~!
In the meantime...

| Re: Ever have one of those days..... Hi everyone- hope all is well! I just spent 1/2 hr. wiping Otis down after a good romp in the mud-and I mean MUD! Has rained steady here since last night and everything is flooding-ugh these huge paws throw mud everywhere-including on me!!
Wish I could've worked in the flower beds today-I don't see that coming for a while yet. |

| Re: Ever have one of those days..... V, I'm happy about your japanese magnolia ~ but I have no idea what that is? A bush? A tree? A flower???? I am horticulturally challenged... help me please.
No new word on the move yet. I was just talking to a friend about this. I am in the 'sit and wait' position right now. There is nothing; not one damn thing I can do to speed up the process. The background checks have already been started, now I wait. Could be 2 weeks, could be 1 month or more before it's complete.
I guess the up side to this is that I won't have to travel west during the possibility of snow. It'll be May before I'm moving anywhere!!!
Did you see? R's back!!! Yay! |

| Re: Ever have one of those days..... Hidee Hoe everyone. Is R really back or was that an Ollie mirage? V- stop rubbing in your beautiful weather! j/k. Jenn, girl you're a professional juggler aren't you? Dom, where did the decision to remove the lump come in? What did the new vet have to say? Will they send it out for analysis? Don't know yet how I feel about neutering, If you plan to do it, I guess I'd do it while he's already under. I am going to be doing some reasearch, with the new pup coming I'd like to become more educated on the subject. SDO, glad to see ya made it back before 2000 , smooches to everyone's pooches LOL |

He is actually WAY smaller than the pictures make him look. He's all fluff. His fur poofs like 4" off his body so he looks HUGE compared to what he really is LOL. Fluffy dog. Quote:
