| Re: Ever have one of those days... the police came today to my house with a warrant to search the place because someone reported me for breeding fighting pit bulls. this is the third time and the last time the garbage is getting perpetrated. they tore my house up again. At least the officer had the deceny to let me know any further calls of this nature would be disregared due to overwhelming evidence in my favor..and I that I have the right to prosecute for libel or something like that but I don't have the dough for a lawyer...
on the flipside I manage to scoop a severly malnourished HW+ great dane out of a horrid situation. She is under observation at the vet with the aid of a kind angel who is footing the bill...pics when.. or if..she pulls through..
sigh... |

SDO...I agree with Danielle. I think we need a new Otis and Ella thread. And congrats on your wedding too. I didn't know it was coming up so soon You'll have to post tons of pics. Is Otis and Ella gonna be in it? | Yeah....One month from today
It's simple, so it's not too bad to plan--we are just having our immediate family and closest friends--about 120 people. Otis and Ella are not in it, but Abby is walking me down the aisle I'll be sure to show lots of pics when the time comes
Hi everyone else--have a great day! |

| Re: Ever have one of those days... Wow, you all are so full of news both good and bad. To everyone, congratulations on the good stuff and I'm sorry on the bad.
The only news around here is that Cherokee had his first raw meaty bone yesterday and he starts agility classes tomorrow
Volley, that dress is stunning! DH and I celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary this weekend. I hope you have as many years of happiness as we have, and many more to boot! |

| Re: Ever have one of those days... I have a 4 day weekend...which I really need a break badly so its come at a good time. Today work was a little better. I'm getting a lot of support from my co-workers. They are great. It seems that we all know when one of us is to the point where we are just going to lose it completely and we fill in to relieve some of the pressure. They are giving me time to step out and clear my head frequently and all that. I really do love this kid. I'm not saying that in a superficial sense either. I do love and care for him. When you work with a kid this closely you can't help but to feel that way. I buy him birthday and Christmas presents...I buy him clothes and shoes. I bring in snacks that I know he'll like. I have our picture together and some of his artwork on my refrigerator. lol Really, he's like family so I HATE the thought of leaving him and I HATE that it might come to that, but I don't know what else to do. But like my mom said, he's not my personal responsibility, he's my professional responsibility so I have to keep that in mind.
I hope everyone has a good day tomorrow! I'm sleepin' in!! |

| Re: Ever have one of those days... Mdawn, As Reno said, I have always admired you, too.
I know I could not do your job, day after day. It truly takes a remarkable, special human being to do what you do.
That said, if you don't take care of you....you can't help him. It is obvious you do really love him, however, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to care for a new child next year. I would imagine, it doesn't mean you would never have contact with your current child, it would maybe just give you some space?
Either way, sending plenty of (((Hugs))) your way. Enjoy your 4 day weekend, it is well deserved! |

| Re: Ever have one of those days... Uhhh my washer actually DID break like 2 months ago.. Filled my whole house with smoke!
My dad came over and changed the belt for me.. but it ended up being the transmission, so I found a washer online that works great for $100.00! But I know the feeling Reno had.. mine broke when it was full of water! We eventaully got it to drain but because the transmission was broken it wouldnt spin for more than one minute without shutting off, so we drained it one minute at a time! |

No, we're moving it from Kansas to Texas. Little more tricky! Hopefully people will be understanding, we're getting married in June so they still have plenty of time to fill our spots. Keep a good thought for me though!
This will just be all around better, now we won't have to board the dog, find something to do with the cats, etc. |

| Re: Ever have one of those days... An opportunity to post in this thread.
I am having one of those weeks.
Yesterday I was super-excited because our car has been in the shop for 3 weeks and we were supposed to get it back today. They called my husband while I was at work yesterday saying the parts they ordered a month ago had improper factory seals on them and had to be re-ordered [despite the fact that my husband called last week and they said the body work was 'all done' and it was going into paint].
This morning I was super-excited again because it's picture day and I was expecting to open my e-mail and have 3 new photos up of Apollo for me to see. That b**ch isn't posting any new photos until October 20th.
Then I come in to work and they tell me I have to work front. Fine. It was a slow day, no big deal. Then my manager decides to wait until the very minute I am supposed to leave to pull and count my drawer. I got off 10 minutes late yesterday, 15 minutes late today. Ugh! *headdesk* I hate work and I'd quit if it weren't for the fact I needed the stupid f***ing job to pay for all of the fees that go along with owning Apollo since my apartment complex is a bunch of con-artists. F*** and every other obscenity in the book. I am so upset right now.
Beyond that, I really want to bring in this stray cat and I can't. Gah. >_< |
