Okay everyone, baby has woken up crying becasue her legs hurt  -probably from sled ridin' today and climbin the hill and trudging in the snow...gave her some tylenol and we are gonna go snuggle now. Hugs to all and to all a good night.
Chrissy...try not to give in to peer pressure tonight and stay away from the "juice"

I was taliking to the biologist working on the big cats program here and he's offered me the use of one of his camera traps to put back in the property we're buying so We can see what's moving around back there. I'm really curious now. What is out there in the dark hours? When I lived close to where Boo lived, I had a Tapir come and bed down at the bottom of my house stairs.
And I would see peccary tracks in the morning,and eye shines in the night also saw puma track too.
I would get a little freaked out as one whole wall of the house was just screen.

Wow Chrissy you are brave! I couldnt live in a place where huge super strong animals could walk right into my house if they wanted to  The biggest animals we have on my island are boars, deer, cows and horses. And the boars and deer are mostly in the high mountains while the horses and cows are mostly in fenced areas, except the occasional escapee. | |

Yes they do. LOL Think 700 - 800 pounds. They're herbivores but can be dangerous. The bad part? He was in between me and the outhouse. I learned to carry up a 5 gallon bucket at night. Quote: |

| Oh no the main part of the house was on the second story. Only the kitchen was down stairs. And the out house, down a garden path.
Oh and the shower.
It was outdoors too with shadecloth instead of walls. oh and the laundry sink. The power was solar only and sun don't wash clothes.
The most scared I ever was?
An Armadillo had me cowering one entire night. I just gotta say, they sound like a HIPPO crashing through the bush.
