Been REALLy busy this week and it's going to overflow into the weekend. Yuck! I just now got read up on everyone and like Jenn did I just have time to say to those of you whose life's are going great: I'm happy for you. And those who are going through rough spots I hope things improve soon!

I made Uallis and Eddie their doggie biscuits last night. lol They turned out ok. I had to make them in diamond shapes because all of my other cookie cutters are Christmas ones. One of my bf's friends actually tasted one of them! He said that they were ok, just bland. ROFLMAO!! Eddie didn't know what to make of his and just carried it around with him. I assume he finally ate it. Uallis scarfed his down though...so I guess they were a hit.

Uallis was feeling energetic today! We've played fetch and tug in the house already. Well, tug just consisted of me saying, "Come on Uallis! Pull! You could throw me across the room if you wanted! Now PULL!" He's not very good at tug....

Mdawn, Sorry to hear about what happened the other day, I couldn't do your job...What you do is so important, and you all don't receive enough credit for it.

Just a quick update. They changed the test study for August 4th, hopefully it happens this time.

And on to even better news. I haven't mentioned it yet on here, but I have been trying to get a job at the Hospital near me, and it looks like I got it. Long story how this all happened, but it was a 'word of mouth' situation(love knowing people on the 'in'). The pay is good(especially on weekends, and Holidays), as I get more hours I will get benefits, AND they will pay for my schooling(that alone will help)!! I am on the bottom of the chain now(Front Desk), but they already mentioned cross-training me for PBX and other things as I get settled it. This is a situation where I can easily work up to better things. This particular hospital is tough to get into(they almost never hire, and when they do many people jump in for the same position) so I am excited!

Orientation is not until September(the August orientation may conflict with the test study, they all completely understand).

I started out saying 08' would be my year, and I still think it may(Diabetes and all). Having them pay for Nursing School would be so helpful.

That's wonderful RC! and thanks yes the neck is almost back to normal. just a small red spot, and a red dot where the stinger hit me. Not even any bruising.

Took Bo and Cassie in for blood tests this morning. Cassie for check up superchem, titer, and CBC L/K function as it looks like she's going to need a course of doxy.

Bo was just for a baseline superchem and a titer to see if he's ever been exposed.

Cassie was a total pro. She's had so many vet visits, that she greeted Jane with a big smile and asked to get up on the table. Stood for the rectal temp, then sat and offered her leg for the blood extraction. Jane needed 5 ccs and Cassie just sat still all the way through.

Bo. Now Bo was a whole nuther story. He fussed, whined and threw a total hissy fit biting Jane, trying to bite me got his leg loose and pulled out of the needle, blood everywhere. When Jane went for the other leg, ALL over again, I finally laid him down and pinned him to the table aaaaaand flump! he went limp and just gave up and laid there. Easy as pie. Silly boy.

He's not too sure about Jane now, but he'll learn. She's so good with all of them.
So the CBC and LK should be in for Cass tomorrow. The S/chems and titers take 6 WEEKS! *sigh*

Hey all- just a quick "HI" today- we are off to a County Fair today--I can hardly keep the girl under control-we are waiting for daddy to get home so we can go.....she can't understand that he has to work so he can make money for us to go to to nice things like fairs

I miss you all! It seems we are never all in here at the same time anymore. Do you guys remember when we used to have to constantly refresh our screens so we wouldn't miss anything? When we RACED to the PK's? sigh.. I dont like change lol.

RC- that is AWESOME about the job. Thats how I felt when I got hired at american express. I still feel that way. I'm making 6 dollars an hour MORE than I was when I started there a year and a half ago.

I cleaned my whole house last night and the whole backyard. Gonna weedwack it today. I've finally got grass growing in for the dogs.


We still have a ways to go, but we're working on it.

My dogs have been SO good. Sometimes when the forum is dead I go back and read all my old old threads, and Im like.. "My dogs were NUTS!" They are calm, settled in nicely in this house, and well behaved. I am even teaching Chance heel off leash. I take his favorite $2.00 big lots ball, and walk with up up near my face while saying "heel..heel." Then when I stop, he sits automatically! Its fun!

So again, I miss you all- hope everyone is well!

Jenn- the yard looks great. We are weedeating here too. Uallis is mad because Eddie gets to go outside and hangout while its being done and he doesn't. He barks at the weedeater and gets a little to close to it for comfort. lol

Uallis was so energetic and hyper all day yesterday...I don't know what his deal was...looks like he's feeling the same today...he's keeps bugging me to go out and play...we would if it wasn't for the weed eating going on now. He's pouting by the door now. Yesterday, Uallis found his long lost Jollyball under an umbrella tree. I noticed right off that it smelled HORRIBLE! Apparently, something crawled in it through the opening Uallis made when he chewed off the handle...and it died in there...I picked it up and shook it and it rattled....lol Yuck! I'm probably going to burn it...I can see Uallis mourning it for days afterward...lol I'll get him a new one though...maybe one like SDO got Otis for Easter.

Oh and for those that saw my picture thread: my ankle does feel better. I'm not even limping now...its just a little sore. I've said it a hundred times before but I must say it again: My dogs are ill mannered HEATHENS!! lol
