Good sleep last night. So I'm rarin to go.
The roof peaks on Bree's shelter are all up, and they're putting up the sticks to tie the thatch to. Juan says he's hoping to start thatching tomorrow. *Beezee prays* |

Oops, and forgot to say that I've put some pictures up! Go here to see: http://www.dogforums.com/8-dog-pictu...region-nh.html (Weekend at the Lakes Region in NH) | FOZ, you're right... the way things are going I should keep a huge inventory on hand.....
If gas prices weren't so high I'd take the 20 min ride to Vermont - but at over $4.00 a gallon, not happening!!!

Bad news is... I went to the store to purchase a little refreshment (if you know what I mean....). I forgot that on Memorial Day you can't buy alcohol in this stupid state. CRAP CRAP CRAP!!!!!
When I got the mower back I was invited over for burgers on the grill... so I think I'll go there... Nothing fancy. Just the 3 of us.... works for me. It'll be later on so you guys are stuck with me right now. | We have drive through liquor stores here. I think they're 24/7. Just tells you that there is NOTHING to do in the desert.
I have tomorrow off and FOZ's Zoe swimming thread made me want to take the dogs somewhere. Maybe not for swimming just yet, but I wanna go somewhere fun with them! This weekend I really do want to take a trip to the lake 30 minutes from here and get the 50ft leash ou and let them play in water. Chance loves it!
I have vids and pics that I will probably post tomorrow. I cant upload them here for some reason, but I'll get them up maybe tomorrow. Its Chance and the hose! And the toy I bought him. |

I miss that place a lot. Our drive through liquor store has a sign up that says "WE NOW SELL MILK!" But its just not the same. |

| Re: Ever have one of those days... I'm home from Vermont. The weather was perfect but the black flies I'm covered with bites.
I decided if I ever live alone I will have to have a pack of dogs. Cherokee is good company but a little quiet in a big house all alone. It took a phone call to my brother to get over feeling lonely (how pitiful is that on my run-away-from-home).
I gardened, made some pottery, and did lots of hiking around with Cherokee. There is a pond over the hill which I took him to swim in twice a day.
Cherokee was afraid to be in the house most of the time. He followed me around even more than usual. We have a woodchuck in the meadow that had set up housekeeping in the basement over the winter. I think the smell of the woodchuck and the mice, etc were freaking him out a little.
Cherokee did manage to bolt out the door and chase the woodchuck across the yard and under the sauna. I'm glad the woodchuck got a head start or I'm not sure what would have happened. What would a Cherokee/woodchuck fight end up like?
He also is a very good watch dog. This morning he spotted a fox far away in the meadow. He gave a couple of serious barks and that fox high tailed it out of there. I wouldn't have seen it if he hadn't barked.
Now, it's back to business as usual..... |

Well, I just got back from my friends' house. We planted her veggie garden while he got the pool open then we had a cookout with lots of little
no-seeums. It was good till they showed up.
This will be the 3rd year she's planted a HUGE garden. I help plant and weed which is only fair since I get tons of veggies. I had soooo many tomatoes, summer squash and zucchini last year I was taking them into work to give away.. I couldn't eat them fast enough. |

Arizona doesn't have them? |

I use Off (I think it's Off ) when I take the boys running. I wear a baseball style cap (they seem to love my shampoo) and I spray the cap with the Off.... works for a short time.... |

| Re: Ever have one of those days... Ick...bug talk...lol
We're getting thunderstorms this afternoon...joy. No worries for Zoe, she loves thunder lol...nothing scares her, and I think she likes watching the rain and lightning. I, on the other hand, am scared to death of thunder. It's no big deal if Matt is here, but with just me, I worry incessantly that she will need to go out in the middle of the storm and I don't want to get struck by lightning.
I can't be THAT ridiculous though...lightning is very dangerous. Two people got struck by lightning when I was in college on the SAME DAY...and I was walking back from class in the same storm (I gave myself an asthma attack from running back up a big hill, scared out of my mind, without taking my inhaler first)!
So even though it's hot as hell out there, I will have to tire Zoe out plenty so she will sleep from when the thunder starts to when Matt gets home! |

| Re: Ever have one of those days... Heyyyyy Everyone!
Hows it going? I havent caught up yet. It has been crazazy since i been back home!
My road trip this weekend was awesome! I took the 3 girls up to moms in Natchez MS...then drove up to Vicksburg to see some family that were there from Cali..Havent seen them since 1986 for my graduation.. Drove back to Natchez that same day...The next day I went down to South Louisiana to see my dad. Along the way..we stopped by the family cemetary to see where my family has been laid to rest for generations. Got to see the old homestead that my great great great grandfather built. Got to visit the church where ancestors were married. It was a wonderful trip to say the least. I have pictures but dont have much time to play yet. Ill be seeing you all later! V |
