Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass are some of my favorite books ever.

She is a Mississippi Map turtle. About 8 years old, the male is about 1 1/2 to 2 years old. My friend has them in a tank together and the female lays eggs occasionally. I watched her house for 3 weeks and the female (Urtle) was trying to lay them so she got a shot of Oxytocin after getting an xray done. 10 eggs, 8 were layed. She still has 2 inside her for almost 3 weeks now since the other 8 were layed. Will she be ok (my friend didnt want to pay for another shot and thinks Urtle will be ok and not have any problems)?

Not necessarily, she could become egg-bound. surgery is sometimes needed. There are some turtle forums, just stay away from the turtle sale place.
