| Re: Ever have one of those days... V, I also like Crikket...such a cute little name for a cute little dog.
R, I also missed the thread about Horo...I'm so sorry to hear about that. It's not your fault, obviously. You're doing everything you can. Just a thought, could your mom help at all? I remember you saying that she likes to take in the worst dogs and do what she can...maybe she could take him in 3 weeks if nothing else?? Although I'm sure you already talked to her...I'm just trying to think of ideas.
Jenn, I can't believe you could sleep in in the middle of a move lol. We are total opposites. When I moved, I couldn't sleep until it was 95% done, except for a few boxes of decoration-type stuff that I don't need up right away lol. Well have fun sleeping in, I'm jealous.
I'm home with Zoe today...got in all those applications yesterday so I've got nothing to do in terms of job hunting for a few days. I'm not going to bother looking into retail or anything before I give these interesting jobs a few days. It's beautiful out--sunny but not hot--and the backyard's still a wreck from the last two days of straight rain, so I think we're going to head on a long walk around Fresh Pond in Cambridge...it's about 2.5 miles around, and certainly at least a quarter mile each way between the house and the entrance, so it will be a nice 3-mile trip for us (I need the exercise too). And hopefully the yard will be dryer by the afternoon. I think I'll bring the camera, as the pond is really pretty. It'll be hard to stop and take pics with the Zo, but I'll try to get a few! |

Hope everyone had a good night.
Lord please save me from starving artists with sad eyes and no talent.
The same GUY. He comes in once a month and we've turned him away 4 months straight. WHEN will he get the message???

| Re: Ever have one of those days... SDO, that is a GREAT video! I want to take a turn in the bucket!!!!
I have a picture thread of Zoe up...go check it out!!
Oh, and about that walk we took...turns out there's a doggy swimming hole there, with nice steps built down into the water. I ended up letting Zoe go for a dip, and she just loved it! It's only like a 10 minute walk from our place, so I have a feeling we'll be there every day in the summer! |

SDO, why you having one of those days?
Loved the video - Otis makes a great babysitter...
V, okay I like Katie (of course I will tell people she's named after her favorite aunt.. ) or how about Daisy?
R, I like having your company this morning, however brief. Can you be up the same time tomorrow morning?
FOZ, glad you found a great place to go so close to your new place. It'll be nice for Zoe this summer. Have you thought about getting her a kiddie pool for the yard?
Chrissy, what's with the starving artist - does he come in looking for food in exchange for his artwork?
MMM, how you doing?

| Re: Ever have one of those days... Kathy, no he comes in trying to get us to buy really poorly done slate carvings. Done better than I could, but it still looks like an 8 YO's work. He needs to find a real job, instead of pulling the pity face when we say no. |

| Re: Ever have one of those days... Good morning everyone
Yay, my shots went well yesterday, no reaction. I took an internet night off. Starting to feel a little addicted
I spent the rest of the day photographing, pricing and packing up my pottery to take to the studio today. I have to set up my display and get ready for our opening tomorrow night. I'm trying to get excited but I get nervous instead
My son takes off for his school trip to NY city at 4:30AM tomorrow. I will be up early, maybe, just maybe, I will sneak in the earliest good morning |

Hope everyone has a great day!
I'm going to a history dept. party at the department head's house tonight...I'm so excited. I've only been out of school for a week and I can't handle missing everyone already. I don't know how I will last the summer! |

| Re: Ever have one of those days... Kath, MOST of the stuff we sell in the gift shop come to us here, rather than us going to get it. But this is the only starving artist I see. Realism is kind of big down here. There is no welfare... so no work, no eat. Although, with the abundance of wild fruits, you would have to be incredibly stupid to starve.
We do have poverty here, but no starving children. Malourished yes, but that's from a steady diet of ramen, fried chicken, and orange or red fanta, not lack of food.
People here don't eat a lot of vegetables. Like if you order salad, you may get, potato salad.
BTW, I'm thinking of going on a little trip. Anybody want to come along?
