As far as chat rooms over DF...DF anyday... Course, I haven't been able to 'keep up' with this thread as much lately, and it seems no one keeps up with any of my posts here either, so it's all good...I think...its still fun to read the new pages; I just don't seem to be able to get involved much anymore...

Someone is questioning that. The odds of getting attacked on the street are sooooooo remote but, sex abuse is rampant in our country. I just get soooo frustrated and don't like arguing. |

| Re: Ever have one of those days..... Im kind of on the other end of the spectrum saying that the kid wasnt supervised.......around the dogs.. I made it clear when I asked Pooch if he had a fence in his yard that was in run down condition, with 2 aggressive dogs next door, if he would let Lorrell play alone. I always played unsupervised, but if there was a situation where we needed to be watched- we were. ya know? |

If you live in a town with virtually no crime and have well behaved kids, let them go out and be a kid for goodness sake. Keep an ear out and look out the window from time to time but, that should be OK, IMO. I also let my dog out alone and a lot of people would never do that. Doesn't make me a bad dog owner, but some would say it does.
Time for me to go to bed. I need to learn to not post on topics that get me riled up.
Anyway, if any of you have or ever will have kids, teach them that no-one, including family, is allowed to touch their private parts. We often tell them about stranger danger but sometimes, the danger isn't a stranger

He provides a realistic view of the actual dangers and who poses danger - very rarely is it a stranger. Another of his books "The Gift of Fear" is one that includes paying attention to your instincts. |
