What's left is the futon and desk, then we're ready for the cleaning tomorrow.
I've decided to no longer use the futon at the desk. I'm going to be picking up a computer chair. But I will place the futon behind me for the furry people. And I'll use that for watching TV.
My brother said he will give me his Playstation, it will be my first video game system, I think it's playstation 1 or 2? I dont know. But it should be fun! I've never really played games... Quote:

Oh well, since it's here, I'm going to enjoy it.
Mostly running errands all day. Since I feed raw, I've noticed there's a horrid smell emanating from the meat, and it's filled up the entire second floor of my house. (My house is unusual- you enter the second floor via a bridge, which is where the kitchen, living rooms, etc are) Because my garage is on the top of the hill, and the house is on the bottom of the hill.
Fortunately I have a patio upstairs, so I'm buying a cooler and a separate lidded garbage can for the patio, and thaw them outside in the cooler.
I'm also getting the carpets cleaned on Saturday. $175 for 5 rooms, a hallway, and stairs. Not too bad. They are throwing in a bonus enzyme cleaning since I'm a first time customer and I have pets. It should make a huge difference in the smell. It's been bothering me for a while, and the spots too.
As such, most of today will be moving the snake cages upstairs (which is no small feat, they are about 250LB each) and taking apart the futon to bring it upstairs where the hardwood floor is.
Personal truck is in the shop as well. I just took it in. Waiting for a estimate for repairs... Bleh.
After all this, I just need to replace furnace, faucet, repair the ceiling in one room that has water damage. Then I'm done with the house, and gotta work on the landscaping rewgrowing grass that was killed while I built the fence in my backyard.
Then I have to insulate and drywall my detached garage.
So much work to do, so much money to spend, so little time. Gah! I'll be happy when those are paid, then I can start saving for a vacation for me and Ollie! A trip to Colorado where I can spend a month stinky, sweaty, wearing one pair of clothes for a month without washing, in a cramped tent, covered in bugs and dirt, hungry all day with only peanuts and powerbars to eat.
Sounds like a blast!
PS: Since I'm home today, I talk on and on and on and on. Sometimes give some women a run for their money! |
OK, so my first question is why does it smell funky from the meat?
That's a great price for the carpet cleaning! Course, u could just ditch the carpets and put hardwood and tile in then no more odor holders and easy cleaning , you can just add that to your other list of projects LOL. I'm sorry the truck is being needy ($$$). Hey, uh, please don't drop those snake enclosures, please? I have no problem with hiking trips, but find some body of water to bathe in will ya , what happened to that hand washing u suggested earlier? You are a regular chatterbox now aren't ya |

I have another piece of news if anyone cares.... I've mentioned previously that I might be relocating to Az or TX. I was just waiting on my clearance to go through for the AZ job. Well, AZ just called me - turns out the job doesn't need a clearance and I will be relocating to Sierra Vista with a start date of 30 March. I'm so excited and scared sh**less at the same time....
R, you sure have your work cut out for you. Glad you're having the carpets cleaned though.
We all will appreciate it when we come for our sleepover. I'm not even going to bring my laundry when we come.....how's that? | Congratulations on the early day and especially on getting the job. Hun, u do realize that's like 4 1/2 wks. away, r u packing? |

| Re: Ever have one of those days..... Dieselsmama, it hit me a little while ago that it's only 4+ weeks. I'm going to need at least a week to get there and settle in too. It's gonna be about 4 days driving.
Packing starts tomorrow. Shouldn't be too bad since I never really unpacked much when I moved in here.
I'm still in shock - can't believe it.. Quote: |

who invited her?? | I think Mr. Pooch brought her from his party. I cannot even imagine having to pack us all up in 4 wks. We've lived her for over 7 yrs. now and boy do stuff just collect. I am the polar opposit of a pack rat, I often throw stuff I realize later I needed but somehow it still accumulates.

I'd like to do hardwood but that costs a lot of money, even DIY. I love hardwood floors, though. I don't think my dogs do as much! Sliiiiide Sliiiiip Craaaash Booooom!
I had the snakes wrapped around my body as I was moving the enclosures. I was wondering what someone would think if they walked in on me.
What hand washing? I forgot LOL. |
