I know excatly what you're talking about. I've got a crackhead cousin and a tweaker nephew.

I hung out with all the bad kids in school. Luckily I was never influenced by peer pressure much. While they were all dropping tabs and X I as the D driver I didn't even drink till I was 18 and didn't start smoking till I was 23.

I quit drinking when I was 26. It5 just got boring. Now, if I can just kick the ***s.

You know, I took care of my Dad for 3 years while he was dying of Lung Cancer, You'd think it would be easier to quit. I saw every nasty, painful, debilitating, humiliating, side of Lung Cancer.

My Dad was a big guy, 6'2" and about 180 at a good weight. The month before he died, he became bedridden, and we had to do everything for him. I would Pick him up in my arms and hold him while Mom and the maid would change the sheets. He hated that. The dependence on EVERYONE. I think, more than the pain that was the worst for him. But here I am almost three years and smoking away.

It almost feels though, that it's my last tangible link to him. That's what we did together a lot.

Just sit together, smoke, drink coffee, and talk BS.
