| Re: Ever have one of those days..... Ok It's 1:31 am and one of those days have officially started. Huge winds tonight and a ladder that was left leaning against the 10000 gallon water cistern
for the restaurant fell and broke the outlet pipe. We have no water for the restaurant till it gets fixed. Sum Beach. Good thing I was still up and at mom's house or it wouldn't have been discovered till morning and we would have burnt the pump out.

I slept in because it's not like I can leave the apartment -- it's still snowing! Nonstop now since 8am yesterday. We've gone from bare grass to snow past the bumpers on your standard car.
I know many of you have far more snow, but it's the wind that gets us here: constantly forming and reforming drifts all over the place. 10" of snow can easily lead to 4' drifts with bare patches in between. A real pain for drivers and road crews alike. |

We are getting rain in torrents here in suburban Boston. It is really ugly outside. I am worried about our roofs in Vermont. There have been collapses on the news. |

| Re: Ever have one of those days..... No we don't. We were there last weekend to dig out the propane tank. There was so much snow in front of the garage building that we didn't get the roof rake out. We should have shoveled our way in. The house will be OK because the roof has a good pitch. It's the garage that may have trouble. It had a good few feet of snow on it and the rain could do it in. We have our fingers crossed. |

| Re: Ever have one of those days..... This is a picture of our garage. It's really old. The town plow turns around in front of our house and had plowed a ton of snow in front of the door. I have a pottery kick wheel and a kiln in there. I hope all goes well. Actually, the kick wheel is so sturdy it could probably survive a roof collapse.
SDO-Those little ones can really keep you busy. Now that mine are older we have to sit around waiting for the phone call to pick them up. It's cramping our style. When they were younger they just stayed home with a babysitter. Now they have more fun than us

| Re: Ever have one of those days..... Hey ladies!! How is everyone?
Home from work a little while ago and now I've got my 'chores' done I can sit and relax with all of you.
SDO, I was talking to a guy whose wife was in Virginia. They were getting the same pounding. They expected 6" to 1 ft. of snow before it's over. Winds are wreaking havoc with power lines. 2 days ago they had this rain... this doesn't look good for us... |
