What are you listening to?

To expound on the 1st albumn thread, please let everybody know what you're listening to, either by artist, genre, song, whatever...

On iTunes in the last few moments I've been bumping:

De La Soul "Say no go"

Buena Vista Social Club "Chan Chan"

Grant Green "The Windjammer"

Jurassic 5 "Concrete Schoolyard"

Re: What are you listening to?

It depends on my mood. I don't listen to music much except in my car. But the recent CDs I've been playing are Toby Lightman and a mixed tape (I guess that should be mixed CD - old habits die hard LOL) that includes a little bit of everything - Eminem, Christina Aguilera, 3 Doors Down, James Taylor, Shawn Colvin, 7 Mary 3, etc. Oh, and DH and I recently started listening to a guy we just learned of that we really like - Corey Smith - sort of a country rock/bluesy kind of guy.

Re: What are you listening to?

Currently, as in right this moment, my iPod is playing Fleetwood Mac's "Bleed to love her" from their live CD "The Dance".

I'm ecclectic with music

That's to cute! Snoring dogs are the best..when you're not trying to sleep.

I've been playing Chloe Lattanzi's preformance "Never Tear Us Apart by INXS" from Rock The Cradle. I like how she sings it better than the original, but I'm not a huge fan of hers, but her voice is so different.

Can I ask how can you listen to that stuff?

I say I'm ecclectic, but honestly, I can NOT get into rap, hip/hop and most R&B. especially since the majority of it is rather vulgar. Just MY opinion. funny thing is, I love love love Dave Matthews Band (DMB) and most of their better songs are actually vulgar if you listen to the lyrics, quite explicit in the sexual connotations, yet I LOVE it! Maybe it's just the way it's presented?

Re: What are you listening to?

I've been listening to and recording new stuff from Jason Mraz's new album coming out in may. I just take youtube videos from concerts and record the audio and upload it onto my ipod. Sometimes I can find free, legal, almost professional records from trading sites.

I've always wanted to buy Jason Mraz's albums..."You and I" is one of my favorite songs. Reminds me of someone special I grew up with

Plus he's got this incredible vibe and the boy can...well, for lack of any better term, put it down! I always wondered if your SN had anything to do with Jason Mraz! I always think of his song..."I’m just a curbside prophet/with my hand in my pocket/and I’m waiting for my rocket to come" when I see your SN

On another forum I introduced myself with a thread titled "waiting for my rocket to come." I was immediately banned for being a troll. LOL. Long story short, Elsa's name comes from that song...just listen to the radio version.

Bit of advice, don't listen to the explict version of this song because it has lots of curse words in it.

Shalva, I thought a few months ago you said you were deaf. I believe it was in the topic when Rbark was talking about getting a puppy.
