i despise Boston teams and fans.

i don't take sports too seriously, so normally i could just ignore it.

but, my wierd luck...i almost never have to go on a business trip....but i have to be in Boston tomorrow...just when they are having the city celebration.

i spent a week, in different new england states, each of the past three summers...i could not believe how obsessed these people are with their teams.

however, i like Garnett and Pierce...so i'll get over it.

I'll be at the parade tomorrow just like I was at the Red Sox celebrations. I'm way more of a Sox fan though. Surely, you can't NOT like someone because of who they root for? My cousin in law is a die hard Yankees fan but also one of my best friends, so bridges may be crossed.

I understand, though, you're from NY right?

i was an avid Knick fan as a kid...my father took me to a lot of games.

i was a bit too young too feel the pain of all those Boston Celtic championships in the 50's and early 60's...but the ill feelings stuck.

then i kind of enjoyed the Red Sox curse...no particular reason...i just liked curses.

i kinda liked the Patriots, until the Red Sox won.

however, on vacation, i really was shocked at how serious people in New England felt about their teams...it was somewhat absurd to me.

after that, i felt it was important for their therapy that they lose.
