Never paid attention

I never paid attention to the ads before, but I jus saw a Circuit City ad for the PC game Call of Duty 4 up there. What an awesome line of games. Anybody got or getting this? Or am I the only gaming geek on here?

Re: Never paid attention

I don't play many computer games as I prefer consoles, BUT it does look like an interesting series.

Actually I think up 2 and 3 may be available for the consoles. Probably 4 too. The controls are s0 much harder for first person shooters on a console. Now I'll take the console sports games any day over the PC.

Re: Never paid attention

I've never played it but my boyfriend will probably get it and make me watch him play it. Let's talk about good times... I can hardly wait...

Yeah, we have 3 (I've just never played it - I watched though ) but given that I love first person shooters I might have to give it a try. I've only ever played them on a console though, so I wouldn't know the difference - control wise.

My brother keeps trying to convice me to play FEAR.

Re: Never paid attention

My boyfriend's cousin has CoD 2 and 3, and they both play it all the time. They love the game, and I wouldn't doubt it if my boyfriend's already got CoD 4 reserved =P Hehe
It's kind of nice when they play it, though, because the sounds of the gunfire makes me really relaxed and sleepy, and I usually can take a nice nap

I've played some of the other games he's got for his 360, and even though I'm not much of a gamer (My reflexes could use some work!) I really do like Halo 3 and Oblivion! I was actually a lot better at those games then we both expected, and now I'm kind of addicted XD Lol! CoD 4 looks rather unique, and I think it may turn out to be a pretty neat game, too! That is of course, if it's not too complicated! O.O Seriously, there was this game called Splinter Cell or something like that... I hated that game! You're like an assassin, and you have to be aware of EVERYTHING (Light bulbs, security cameras, how loud the surface you're walking on is, etc.) and know how to do everything, too. And there so much stuff you just have to figure out on your own! At least with some games they tell you what to do, like Oblivion. I'm just happier sticking to my "run around and shoot the bad guys" games

Re: Never paid attention

Lol, I'm way too ADD for those kinds of games. I kept drifting off and not paying attention and before you knew it I'd gone and gotten spotted by a guard! At least with Halo 3 we could play really short Xbox live matches so I didn't wear out my attention span! I never played online with Splinter Cell, though, so I wouldn't really know how fun it would be. Online shooters are the best, though Many years ago I used to play Team Fortress and Unreal Tournament on the PC

Re: Never paid attention

OMG The weapons Factory mod for Quake 2 (which was based on Team Fortress) was what really got me into online gaming. In fact Istill have very good friends all over the country from a clan I played in tournamnets with. And funny you should mention TF. I just downloaded TF2 about a month ago, and started playing it quite a bit. I'm finally gonna put the kebash to my City of Heros\Villains account.
