Re: who else had a craqqy day?

Sorry you had such a horrible day.

Isn't it funny how playing with the dogs takes away all the day's frustrations?
Works every time for me.

Re: who else had a craqqy day?

God, I did. Found out I will never be allowed to donate blood because I was born in Europe and lived there for over 6 months. The thing about it is, I donated without any problems just last year. It begs the question, who is screwing up...the people last year, or this year? I'm just pissed because I really enjoyed being able to donate in that way.

Oh, and I had about 10 million tests. I think they went.....ok.

Re: who else had a craqqy day?

Be forewarned: I'm whiny today.

I'm sick and waiting on bloodwork results. I'm at the point where I'm hoping they find something wrong with me (the prime suspects are mono or hypothyroid), since the alternative is just being lazy and whiny. I wish I could've just had the bw results faxed to my vet. I trust him more than my GP.

In addition to whatever it is that's making me feel like poop, my TMJ (tempomandibular joint, or jaw joint) is acting up again, so I have to wear my stupid bite guard. It's a slipped disc in my jaw, and causes migrainelike headaches. Stress aggrivates it, and it becomes a vicious circle becasue the pain causes stress, which causes more pain, which causes more stress... Wearing the bite guard helps, as does taking a muscle relaxant at night, and pain pills round the clock until it stabilizes again. It sucks, but it's managable. At least this go-round I know what it is. When I first had it, it took about 6 months for a proper diagnosis.

And I have a portable washing machine that gets hooked up to the kitchen sink. A measuring cup got stuck in the drain, and the sink filled and flooded my kitchen. So in addition to the pile of laundry I had to do, I have a bigger pile of sopping wet towels to wash.

But Beav and I had a good walk this afternoon. I love the sight, smell and sound of walking through crunchy leaves.

Re: who else had a craqqy day?

lorina: have you ever been tested for chronic fatigue syndrome or lyme disease ? many things can cause tiredness.

i had not a bad day, just a... wierd day.

i went shopping for some clothes because nothing seems to fit properly anymore. my pants are always falling down and all of a sudden seem too short and all my shirts have hoods on them. i've banned myself from ever buying another hoodie!! i live in a small town so my options for clothes are really limited to begin with, but I couldn't find hardly anything I liked. When I did find a few things I liked, they never had my size. then i found on the bottom shelf of a store some hiking shoes my size on sale for $30 which are perfect dog walking shoes. SCORE! I also found a pair of sweatpants and bought my SO some long underwear (rawr!) cause he needs another pair.

after shopping, and trust me... i hate shopping and avoid it all costs to begin with... I got back to discover my min pin had done a few drops of fear pee (which smells terrible as well as being gross) on the leather seat in the car. and then laid in it so he smells too. so i took him to the nature park to burn off some engergy and this old man starts BERATING me about not cutting my min pin's tail off. every other word was rat (rat tail, rat dog...) and he just wouldn't let it go. i was just like "okaayyyy then. see you later...." *back away slowly from the crazy old man*.

stopped for a coffee and a doughnut on the way home cause i didn't eat all day and the coffee was like hot water (no flavor) and she gave me the wrong doughnut. i asked for a chocolate glazed and instead she gave me one of those looks-like-poop doughnuts. tasted like it too.

so now i'm home, have to clean up the car and give my dog a bath. hopefully the SO goes for dinner with his boss so I don't have to cook, i'm tired!

Re: who else had a craqqy day?

I am sorry you all had bad/weird days. I cannot say mine was anything special, I guess given the options that is a good thing. We are all so lucky to have our dogs to make us smile at the end of a day.

true! no matter how bad a day i had, my dog always manages to make me smile. either by snuggling up to me or by making me laugh by dragging the pillow that's as big as him down the hallway and throwing it at me.

Re: who else had a craqqy day?

Bad day? Try bad week! lol! First, my best friend broke her promise to me and did something awful then acted like nothing happened. She didn't even seem sorry. Well, we worked that one out, but then in PE we had to run a mile for a district test. Our coach told us to take it as far as we could, then stop and walk until we felt up to running again. I haven't ran ANYTHING in months, but I am a perfectionist so I ran the WHOLE DANG MILE even though I felt like one of my ribs was stabbing into my lung. This morning I woke up to pain in my legs, and when I stood up I almost fell over. It still hurts to walk, but I ran again today anyway. My arms hurt too, because of things we do in PE/playing my violin.

To top it off, I got a low B on my economics test after my dad had just told me I'd better pull that grade up to an A (I have two Bs and he wants all As....). I bombed an English quiz so my grade dropped from a 100 to an 82, and my dad was mad about that too because that's supposed to be my best subject. It's an honors class, so a B counts as an A, etc...but I want an actual A, not just for it to count as one! Not to mention the fact that we have almost no grades in there (it's all class discussions/reading/writing that all combines into one major grade) so I only have one more chance to bring up my grade.

As for the other bad-day-havers, I hope it gets better for you all. As Shania Twain says, it can only go UP! from here!

Re: who else had a craqqy day?

Well, I am now better and things went smoothly for the rest of the week. I even finished a deadline that had me holed up. Yeay. In my line of work if you have a set government deadline they charge ME for the days that go over. I finished to the minute. And this was my first government job ever. And Im a girl

Yes my dogs are my sanity salvation. I miss them terribly when I dont have them with me and that day was one of them. I guess thats why i was a grump for the most part. After our play time that evening I was all better to say the least. Especially when I got home I had some flowers delivered from my BF.

I am sorry to hear of everyone elses craqqy day. or week. or even if it was weird.

Cassie...I listened to Shania after reading your post..and it got me dancing around.

Starry....I hope you and your pup are feeling better

Annamarie....I LOVE when my clothes dont fit cause they too loose...hehehe!
Hope you get the right donut and better coffee next time..when my coffee isnt right it makes for a bad day for me too!

Lorina...wow girl...I hope you start feeling better soon. I am sure Beav makes for a wonderful day. My mom has Pekes and when I feel i need Peke loving I go to her house. They do tend to turn into a craving sometimes. Gotta have the Peke lovin.

Dakota....I have never heard of such a thing..did they say why?? I mean European blood is just as red and needed as american blood?!

I raise my coffee cup to all of us! We made it to another day..WHOOOHOOO!

Re: who else had a craqqy day?

yes bad week continues, i posted about going to a hairdresser and her turning my hair black after i asked for chocolate brown!! but they open tomorrow so i'll most likely get it fixed for free.

on the plus side, i've had 4 days in a row where i've had a decent amount of energy and have not been feeling depressed which is a new record for me from the last year. i have chemical depression so for no reason i feel sad, anxious, and listless at times. my min pin picks up the good vibes too, he's been super happy and playful. i'll have to start making more of an effort to keep the depression at bay because obviously it's affecting him too. so i guess you could say i had an epiphany!

Re: who else had a craqqy day?

Thought I'd share my Fri. morning for those needing a good chuckle. If you happen to be of the male gender and are not interested in too much female information perhaps you should skip right over this post
6:40am I've been up since 5, dogs are fed and walked, I'm showered, boys are up and dressed, I am running behind tho haven't dried my hair yet. Zack runs into bathroom where I'm about to start drying hair to announce "I forgot to give you the paper!" "what paper?" I respond, "my field trip paper" zack says. "OK, so get it for me, when is this field trip?" I ask feeling a bit relieved at this point. "Today" zack replies, so much for relieved!!
6:50 Ok, I've read the paper he needs: large lunch and two snacks, two full water bottles, extra socks, a hat?, a hoodie, pants, sneakers or hiking boots, and for some unknown reason a bandana. PANIC sets in. I tell Zack, "quick, you get out whatever you'll eat from the fridge and pantry, I'll gather everything else.
6:55 Reconvene in kitchen, and start packing lunch bag. Glance over at field trip paper...BTW, there's no nut products of any kind allowed, there is a peanut allergy in another classroom who are also going on this hike...CRAP!!!, unpack lunch bag and try to figure out how to feed Zack air for lunch since it's one of the few things in our house that's nut-free!!!
7:00 Zack now has three tubes of frozen yogurt, two packages of cheese and crackers, two fruit cups, bag of teddy grahams, an orange, and a leftover piece of chicken i know darn well he won't eat, but I add it b'cause it makes me feel better. ( BTW, I'm pretty sure the cheese and crackers are made in a factory that also makes stuff with nuts so I tell Zack to please not sit anywhere near the child with the nut allergy)
7:10 hair is dry
7:15 make-up on
7:20 racing out the door sloshing coffee out the open top of my travel mug. I'm 20 mins. late...Double crap!!
7:30 driving down road when I get the feeling I've forgotten something very very important...Triple crap...I forgot to put in a new tampax after getting out of the shower. Oh man what is there in this car...a tissue would do for now...C'mon, i'd even settle for a used tissue at this point...nothing..except..in the backseat...a mitten.
7:39 Arrive at work, 19 minutes late, shuffle to door carefully avoiding the mitten travelling down a pant leg. Make it to the bathroom without losing the mitten !! Yay, Thank God it's Friday!!!

Re: who else had a craqqy day?

Diesel wins. Hands down.

I'm still waiting for my bw results. *irked* And since I started taking an antibiotic for a "sinus infection" (I swear, I could go to a doctor completely healthy, and they'd tell me I had a sinus infection) a week ago, I've only gotten sicker. I barely even felt sinusy-sick when I went to the doc, but now I have sore throat, body aches, fever, chills, all that good stuff.

But it's amazing how you feel about 25% better just by calling off work. I still feel like poo, but I don't have the feeling of dread to go with it. If I just had a desk job, I would've gone in, but pretty much the only time I get to sit down at work is when I'm using the bathroom.

I dunno, at least I didn't feel sick too!! Hope your bw comes back soon and you get some answers. I wish I didn't have to go to work . I'd like a permanent vacation right about now. Only the check still has to be direct deposited eow LOL
