| Re: Signatures Okay, let's make this really simple.
Go to one of Curb's posts on this thread where he shows how big a sig can be.
Put a piece of paper on your monitor next to his guide and draw a line at the top and another at the bottom.
Then hold it up to your signature. If it's bigger than the space between the lines, you need to find a way to reduce it.
Nobody is saying you can't have a signature, but too many of you are trying to do too much. |

Your sig exceeds that limit. |

| Re: Signatures I know the scale limit and I took a piece of paper and did as ron suggested and held it up to my sig and it was like a sixteenth of an inch to big. |

But hey, I'm not a mod and should probably keep my mouth shut. |

| Re: Signatures I don't understand why this is so difficult. Look right below the signature text box, below the boxes provided to enter an http address. It says...."Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels or 64.0 KB (whichever is smaller)."
If your sig is 65k...too big. 500 by 101 pixels...too big.
And for anyone who isn't sure, you can click your right mouse button on your siganture and select properties by left clicking the word properties. That will tell you your file size (and 65k = 65,000 bytes) and dimensions. |

| Re: Signatures Part of the problem is that some members are including multiple signatures.
Getting a total image size might involve some third grade math. |

| Re: Signatures There's something about some of the signatures that has bothered me for a while and I hope this might be the place to mention it... if not, I'm sure I'll find out soon enough
Most of the signatures are very tastefully done, very simple, yet elegant if you will. However, some are just too busy and 'too much information'. Maybe it's just me, but it gets annoying and it detracts from the posts.
I understand that except for sizing there may not be much to be done about signatures, but I just needed to vent. Thanks for listening. |

That will tell you your file size (and 65k = 65,000 bytes) and dimensions. | Well I'm not sure what everyone else has their settings on and the size of their monitors but on my monitor my sig fits. I added the file sizes of both pics and its 32.46kb and I added the dimensions and they were 549x200. So I guess its alittle tall. But I don't have any programs to make the pics the right size. You can't make the age thing smaller or it wouldn't work anymore and the next smallest size on photobucket for the pic of Snoopy is 100x75 and that is the size of an avatar. So if someone can make it fit the guidelines then go right ahead.
Edit: Well I took off the happy halloween thing and the link to a vid of Snoopy. Now I believe it fits in the limit. Though I don't understand how my sig was hurting anybody when there is one knew member and there sig pic is 1024x240 or something like that and I haven't seen that their sig has been changed.

| Re: Signatures Durb, you''re changing your sig as a courtesy to others. If you're going to whine and complain about it, your courtesy is lost. BTW, I think your sig looks great now. What others do shouldn't be your concern, but if I notice it, I will do as I have done - delete them. |

| Re: Signatures I'm not whining or complaining, I just think I was being treated unfairly because my sig is a sixteenth of an inch to tall but yet there are people with huge sigs and not a peep is said to them. |

| Re: Signatures What's unfair Durb? You volunteered to change your sig as a courtesy to others. And besides participating in this thread, who has complained to you? Certainly not a mod. And are you positive others haven't been informed of their large sigs? Again, your sig looks great, thanks for making the effort. |
