| Re: Signatures I just redid my siggy to add the podengo...the other boards I'm on allow 500x150...so I was a good little dogforums poster and made a special one just to use here (and I actually kinda like this one better than the other!) |

~Necie & Belle~ | I like it and I think it looks cute. If it is allowed by the board then there shouldn't be an issue.

| Re: Signatures So it sounds like we have to make yet another forum rule instead of just asking for voluntary cooperation.
That's a shame.
Things like limits on image sizes, signature sizes, avoiding all caps, funky font colors and sizes may sound like nit-picking stupid things, but the goal is to make the forum user-friendly for those who don't have unlimited time to wade through all the special effects to get to the point.
Any of those features can be shut off by the forum administrator if they are abused, but we're trying to avoid that necessity. |

| Yes...it's extremely annoying when a signature is ginormous. A shame that we may all lose a privilege b/c some people think the siggy size rule doesn't apply to them. |

| Re: Signatures I still don't think you are losing much time by scrolling down. If you have the time to sign online and to log into the forum and to click on a topic then they have enough time to scroll down over a signature.
I don't think that a signature is a privledge its more like a glamor. rules should not be made to hide things that people like that is making the board non-use friendly. The rules should be enforced over bad language and fighting.
Thats just my honest opinion on the matter. |

| Re: Signatures Really, it's okay, I don't have a problem with your signature Juliet. Believe it or not though, people still use dial-up, and bigger pictures take longer to expose. So yes, this is very much a "use" issue. You may be unaware of scrolling time because you don't have dial-up. This isn't a joke, and certainly not a request without reason. Perhaps we shouldn't be courteous to our dial-up members? How use-friendly would that be?
Regardless, there's plenty of room to be expressive and creative within the limits proposed. There needn't be an issue with the limit, so let's not make it one beyond our request. |

| Re: Signatures I can understand someone's desire to show off pictures of how cute & adorable their dog is. I'm guilty of it myself, but keep my sig image within the guidelines.
I just don't need to see a snapshot or larger sized picture of the dog in every post. Make a thread with favorite photos, or make a webpage dedicated to favorite photos of your dog ( Beav's got one!). There's plenty of ways to show your love and creativity without clogging up each thread with huge images. |

Just say no to sig abuse...or we'll sic the dogs on ya! | Unfortunately I think so too. There are several sigs around lately that clearly break the limits. |

Once they are loaded the first time they never have to load again. |

| Re: Signatures I don't think really about how easy or difficult it is to scroll down the page, but about being polite to our other members. For example a stranger can easily open a door by themself, but it's polite to hold the door open for a stranger if your already going thru it. |
