| Eggs in dog food? To tell you right away I know very little about dogs.
I have a rottweiler.Her name is Klea.
Recently I heard somewhere that it is good to put an egg once a week in dogs food.It keeps coat
shiny. Is this true? Is it OK to put egg in dogs food? |

| If you want to help with the skin and coat look into fish oil (omega-3). Eggs are good for dogs also. |

| Mine get a whole raw egg in their food once or twice a week. Fish oil is indeed better, especially salmon oil. |

| I,too, add raw egg to my dogs diet. More often than some, as they get it once each day. |

| I crack the egg, scramble it all around, and then throw it in... I don't have a food processor so I leave the shell out, but you can grind it up and include it. It's a good source of calcium. >^_^< |

| I give my dogs the whole egg sometimes. Take them outside and let them go to town on them. |

| What I do with the eggs varies. I may scramble them, or water them down some and add it raw to the dry food.
If you add raw to a dry kibble dish, make sure you clean it out after the dog is done eating because it can trun into a brick if left out over time.
I never include the shell.

| My dogs get egg once or twice a week. I give a whole egg (shell and all) with their raw meal in the morning. The shell is very healthy for your dog, and is full of protein.
I would not add egg everyday, as it can mess up the balance of your dog food, but is helpful as a suppliment.
I also give yogurt (plain, NOT no/low fat), apple cider vinager, and Solid Gold SeaMeal. |
