Is it healthy to feed my Maltese puppie (just weened) canned puppie food...A good quality food?

Yes, if it is good quality food, such as Canidae, Innova, Natural Balance, Nature's Variety, California Natural, Eagle Pack, etc. I'm sure that out of those, Canidae and Natural Balance are all-life stages formulas, so I would recommend those. You can find Natural Balance at Petco. >^_^<

Be sure to provide your puppy with plenty of things to chew on in a variety of textures to keep his/her teeth clean.

canned dog food is around 80% water, and has very low nutritional value, usually 8% protien, 5% oil-compare this to dry foods, 30% protien, 20% oil. a high quality dry food, like nutro, is much better for him/her, will cost you less and will make picking up after your puppy much easier.
