Sweet Find, good resource

I have a place I go to that has awesome deals sometimes. I found Dogswell brand canned dog food for 50 cents a can! AT BIG LOTS. Now, they never really carry anything consistantly, but every time I go, I find some sort of sweet deal. I find brand names there very often and at unbeatable prices. I go every few weeks to see what new things I can find. Dogswell is, in my opinion, a good food. All the ingredients are high quality and the price is better than Walmart Pedigree (or other lower quality brands).

Thought I would throw that out there. I am a bargain shopper. I was psyched about this deal, my dog food cabinet is filled to the brim with a great food for a great price. I am surprised to find that most people I encounter do not know about checking these types of stores out, or that you can get decent priced foods at feed stores (better price and selection compared to chain pet stores typically).

I got a couple of the large stainless steel skirted, tip resistant dog dishes there for $2. For a while I was finding some Nylabone like chews there dirt cheap.

I have also found good flea remedies there. I look at their pet stuff when I go in.

Yeah, I just bought a couple cases of Dogswell (my store sells it at 1.95 a can) at my local Big Lots, too! Great place to look for bargains. I told my friend/co-worker, who works for a rescue and she cleaned them out LOL. Anyway, I've found lots of great things at fantastic prices there. I got a crate pad that we sell for 39.98 for 12.00! I got some OMH biscuits for 2.00 a box! I also got a great travel crate to use for agility for 30.00 that would have sold elsewhere for at least 50-60.00. The best deal, though, was gallon jugs with a sprayer of Nature's Miracle for only 10.00! I bought about 6-8 of them hahaha and was very sad when they ran out. Great store, I check about every week!

2.00 for OMH biscuits?! Awesome! And natures Miracle sprayer for 10? SCORE! Its great, its just hit or miss there so you have to check often. Anyone else have any resources that people might not think to look for great dog deals?

BTW, I gave my two big dogs a can of Dogswell mixed with their kibble and they licked the bowl clean! They usually dont do that. I was very happy to see that! Good last meal for Dozer, he is getting fixed tomorrow (YAY).

Haha, sorry. Awesome deals just get me excited!

Hmm, now I have to stop in the local Big Lots and see what kind of bargains they've got going.

I won't feed Dogswell, though. Their jerky treats are all made in China, which makes me leery of the company at all.

I respect that decision. There are other brands I have seen there that you might feel more comfortable with. Plus, lets not forget toys, beds, clothing, collars, etc. It all depends on what sells in your area. Big Lots pretty much buys lots of items that other stores can not sell.
