So Lexi has gotten "used" to the Wellness. She seriously eats so that she doesn't starve but I can tell she doesn't like the taste at all. The bag is running out and I want to try Orijin maybe. But I know it's another very healthy food that probably doesn't have that 'french frie' taste.
So I need suggestions on healthy kibbles that are yummy at the same time! Does anyone have any experience with this. I know it is something hard to respond to since every dog has different likes/dislikes but maybe there are some brands that stand out? I want her to eat healthy food but I want her to enjoy her meals too and not occasionally skip them. Today for example she only ate breakfast and only ate about 1/4 of it. I'm going to give her dinner now, lets see if she wants it. Lol.
It's also nothing medical related, she has tons of energy and is going to the vet regularly(every 2 weeks) so she is fine, just being a little brat!
My dogs didn't care for the wellnesss Core that I tried and they are not picky! I switched over to Orijen 6 fish and they really liked it better than the Wellness. They also like EVO. It's been my experience when feeding a high protein food- like Wellness/ Orijen/EVO I've noticed dogs eat less than they had on a grain based diet. There are not all those fillers but mostly meat sources in the main 5/6 ingredients. My sis noticed this also when switching to EVO small bites. Some dogs handle changes in diet faster than others. Lexi is adorable!
Actually Orijen is supposed to be one of the delicious healthy foods. I think almost all the dogs I've heard of gobbles it up! I've heard from some that EVO is similar. Although Nia didn't seem to like EVO over Orijen or the other way around.
