| Chicken soup brand vs biljac Well today I bought a bag of Chicken Soup brand and a bag of BilJac. Any opinions on these brands. I have heard good things about Chicken soup brand, but have not heard much about the BilJac. She likes the BilJac, but is turning a nose at the Chicken soup. |

Chicken By Products (Organs Only, Including Chicken Liver), Chicken, Corn, Chicken By-Product Meal, Dried Beet Pulp, Brewers Dried Yeast, Cane Molasses, Egg Product, Salt, Sodium Propionate, (a preservative), DL-Methionine, L-Lysine, Vitamin A Acetate, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin E Supplement, Riboflavin Supplement, Niacin, Biotin, Choline Chloride, Folic Acid, Thiamine Mononitrate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Ascorbic Acid, Vitamin B12 Supplement, D-Calcium Pantothenate, Manganous Oxide, Inositol, BHA (a preservative), Ferrous Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Zinc Oxide, Cobalt Carbonate, Potassium Iodide, Sodium Selenite.
| Chicken soup is better. This bag has stuff that makes me ill. I picked a bag at random off their site what you bought could be better or worse. Organs from potentially 4-D animals is nasty along with byproduct meal of said possible 4-D animals. It's mainly that and corn honestly.. Puts it in the league of nastier grocery store foods actually.. |

| Re: Chicken soup brand vs biljac Biljac is terrible, it's like feeding Iams or Pedigree. Chicken Soup is thousands of times better. Most dogs like the taste of lower quality food much better because it's sprayed on with fat. Higher quality kibble tends to taste less appealing but I would definitely go with Chicken Soup. |

Now I have been mixing Chixsoup with BilJac and she is picking right through to the BilJac.
I have kind of been at the mercy at what they sell at some of the local chain stores I have been getting dog food at, but recently I remembered a store very close by that sell everything for pets, I cannot believe that I always forget this place. I went in the other day and he has everything, I was amazed!!. Now I am going to go out and get a bag of Innova EVO this week and try that, I know it is bad to do this to your dog, but there really has been no problems throwing up or wet stools, so I am really going to try and find the best food on the market that she will eat. |

I'm not that aware of biljac but from the ingredients, there's by products, corn and all kinds of terrible stuff.
EVO is great though. I'm currently using it as part of my rotation and my dog is doing great on it. You probably have to feed a lot less than Biljac or Chicken soup too. So it's actually not that much more expensive since the animals eat less. You could also try Orijen, these are my favorites at least. |

I use to have 2 black Labs, your had to watch your pennies with those two hounds, they could go through some food. You also said rotation, what do you mean by that?? |

| Re: Chicken soup brand vs biljac In defense of Bil-Jac..they have removed molasses from their ingredient list, as well as BHA/BHT. They preserve their food naturally with mixed Tocopherals. One of my dogs cannot eat super premium dog food, I've tried many. She seems to do best on a partial raw and partial medium quality brand of dog food. Most recently, I have had her on Bil-Jac, and I am dually impressed with the results! NO digestive upset, at all. Zero! Excellent palatibily, perfect poop, no runny eyes, goopy ears or itchy skin. With results like this, for my ultra sensitve dog, how could I agree that it is a garbage food? I can't! |

| Re: Chicken soup brand vs biljac I know for the longest time, I was stuck buying from Petco. I just found that Tractor Supply Company sells Taste of the Wild for almost $10 cheaper then anything I was buying at PetCo. So many sure that you check places like TSC or any feed store.
As for the question at hand. Which would you rather have, junk food or carrots? Chicken soup is far a better band then Bill Jacs. Heck i don't even use them for treats after I found better things.
