Sensitive Stomach

I have a 8 month old Chinese Crested Powder Puff puppy named Bailey. He appears to have a very sensitive stomach. He is currently on Science Diet Little Bites which was recommended by our vet. He goes out and eats grass and mulch from the yard, comes in and eats his dry dog food and then throws up. After he throws up he waits for a little while then continues to eat his dog food, usually empting his bowl, and most of the time is ok after that. Does anyone have a similar problem and if so what have you found to eliminate the grass eating and a dog food that satisfies enough that the need to eat grass is gone? Thanks for and suggestions.

Re: Sensitive Stomach

Science Diet isn't a good food at all.

This may be why your puppy is having a hard time on it. You may want to switch him to a better quality food with limited ingredients like Wellness Simple, California Naturals or Natural Balance.

The price that your paying for Science diet is ridiculous for such a low quality food.

Re: Sensitive Stomach

My puppy also has a very sensitive stomach - but she's been doing pretty well on California Naturals. It's supposed to be good for dogs with sensitive stomachs, since it has a more limited ingredient list. You could try that - not sure how to get your dog away from the grass and mulch though!
