Hmm, well as mentioned above by [most?] posts - PETA isn't exactly the first place that I would go for accounted information. In reality there really is no such thing as a dog food that hasn't been tested on animals, because otherwise there would be no FDA approval, but I do agree in that some of the techniques that some companies use is rather brutal. In anycase, I've tried to stick to lesser (and I say "lesser" only in that they are not major branches of even larger corporate titans) companies. I feed my dogs half raw and half Solid Gold Barking at the Moon - and they couldn't be looking more beautiful. My youngest Toller pup suffered food allergies for the first few weeks that we had him, and after settling into the raw/barking diet - he has truely flourished.

I've known active members of PETA who had rescue dogs and didn't even feed them meat because they wouldn't have meat in there house...um, dogs aren't omnivours they are full-fledged CARNIVOURS! They cannot be vegetarian!! That made me angry. I agree though with MagicToller, all dog food must have been tested on animals at some point. I have always been against animal testing on cosmetics and such, but PETA is a little nutty.

"According to PETA..." is like saying "According to President Bush, Iraq has weapons of mass descruction." Not exactly an unbiased source.
Awesome quote Lorina!
