Toy breeds..

What would be a good quality for a Maltese? I tried to switch Squeak to Canidae (yes I switched slowly) and she got the runs. (All my dogs did). I was trying to simplify things so that I could feed all of them one type of food. I am sticking to Eagle Pack for my collies but need something for Squeak.

I don't know if you already know this, but Eagle Pack Hol. Sel. has a small breed formula now. Wellness also has a small breed formula. There are others, too. Solid Gold has "Wee Bits" made for small breeds. Alot of the grain-free foods have really small kibble so any size dog can eat it. Merrick Before Grain is small, FROMM 4-star Surf & Turf is small. All the Nature's Variety kibble (reg. and grain-free) is small kibble. Oh, I forgot...Blue Buffalo has a small breed formula. Innova has small bites and EVO has small bites, also. I hope this helps!

Re: Toy breeds..

When not eating a raw diet, our little dogs like Solid Gold Barking at the Moon, Taste of the Wild wetlands, and Inova Evo red meat. They haven't had any issues with the kibble size on any of these brands.

Re: Toy breeds..

When I fed my Pugs kibble, I had good results with California Natural small bites, Solid Gold BATM, and SG's Just a Wee Bit.

Ted's Ted's a toy breed and he has done really good on Wellness Core Ocean. He is now on Taste of the Wild pacific stream and is doing well on this brand too.

We have also tred Solid Gold Wee bits, Hund-n-Flocken, barking at the moon, Innova Evo red meat, Eagle Pack Holistic and so far has done best of the Wellness Core Core and TOTW.
