My dogs had their homemade 'Frosty Paws' Today

And it cost me all of $2 for all 6 of them. For anyone that hasn't tried making their own, it's very easy (only for dogs that are ok with yogurt...some get gas and Big D).

Get a big thing of lowfat yogurt (vanilla or plain), and mix with 2 or 3 tablespoons of peanutbutter and/or 1/2 of a banana (smashed, or just buy a jar of baby bananas). Mix it well and store in about 1/4 cup servings in the freezer. I use plastic cups covered with aluminum foil, then simply cut with the scissor and peel off, putting the 'ice cream' in their dog dish.

You can add just about anything to the yogurt and your dog will devour it...I just find it easiest to use the PB and banana It's a nice summer treat.

Anyone else have any doggy favorites to share?

I've got to make some of those. I bet my dogs would love them.

I make doggie popsicles for mine, but that recipe sounds good too!

I use low sodium chicken or beef broth - dilute a bit with water
pour into small plastic juice cups, cover with foil or plastic wrap so that the "stick" will stay up. I normally use those thin crunchy pressed rawhide treats for the sticks. Freeze until solid, peel the plastic cup away, and you have a doggie popsicle.
