Blue Buffalo

I was at PetsMart today and there was a rep for BB. I know this has probably been talked to death but is this a good brand. I liked her pitch but you can't always trust the reps because they are just that, reps for a food company.

With three mutts running around in the back yard, the waste can be pretty intense so I'm really looking for something that will cut down on that while keeping them healthy.

Thanks all...

Probably the best food PetSmart has to offer....I've purchased it in a pinch and felt very comfortable feeding it to my dog. Wouldn't hesitate to do so again....

If you're looking for something else at a pet store that's high quality, you could try Wellness @ Petco. It's easily the best food they sell, and people on here recommended it to me. I wanted to start feeding my puppy it, but I think I may end up going with Innova or EVO.

Re: Blue Buffalo

Thanks Inverse. PetsMart is much closer to me and that was why I was asking about BB. I can get to Petco but it's much more of a hassle (traffic wise). Thanks for the tip.

Thumbs up Re: Blue Buffalo

I am pretty much a walking billboard for Blue Buffalo food. My dog and 2 cats are all fed that brand. After researching dog food TOO DEATH & lots of overanalyzing, that is the one food I always come back to. I posted this website in another thread, but it is truly a great resource for dry dog food.

Re: Blue Buffalo

The rep at Petsmart talked me into getting it when I got my puppy. She had horrible poops the whole time she was on it, I had to give her pumpkin every meal. Until a few days ago when I switched her to raw, she ate Canidae with no problems. The cats also liked Felidae, but not BB.

Re: Blue Buffalo

IMO it is a very good food and is one of the only foods readily available that is not made by Diamond or Menu A friend of mine has had his Old Bulldog on it for 3 years and his dog has done wonderful on it with not one problem.
