Nature's Variety - Prairie Dog Food

So after 3 days of figuring out what to switch my dogs to after not liking Canidae's new formula, I decided to move to Nature's Variety.

Now I'm stuck on which flavor to buy? There is chicken, beef, salmon, venison, and lamb. How do I know which flavor will be the best for my dogs?

My 1 year old Pyr's stomach is a tad bit more sensitive than my Pek's, but both are fairly active dogs with long coats.

Any thoughts???

Re: Nature's Variety - Prairie Dog Food

That's what I recently switched my dog to, and we've been very happy with it. Although he's having some skin problems, but it may or may not have something to do with the food, we'll find out when I take him in for his annual in 2 weeks. First we did the lamb, we did 25lbs of that and now we're on the salmon. Nature's variety food is supposed to allow you to switch between natures variety flavors with no problem. You could ask your retailer which flavor would be best. I asked mine and they were relitavely knowledgable, although I forgot what they said. They should know what meats are better for active dogs, less active dogs, etc...

Part of me is wanting to try Instinct.. but the lady at the pet store said it may be way too much protein for the kinds of dogs that I have... which doesn't really make that much sense to me.
