| Solid gold!!! Hello. I'll try to keep this story short. When I first got our mini schnoodle, Bella, she was very sick after the vet gave her one too many things for such a tiny body and immune system. Needless to say, she was SICK. Diahrrea every 5 minutes- if that. It was just a messy situation. Anyway, I was recommended by my house cleaner to go to this store because apparently he is AMAZING. So sure enough, I pack up my puppies and head to the store. Long story short, this guy is an ex vet, who basically turned on vets because most of them want money out of you. (of course, theyre are vets that are genuine). Anyway, these lovely people give me all this free canned cow insides or something to help re-hydrate my little baby. Gave me all these free samples and showed me around the store and talked and talked and talked.
Anyway, I now feed my puppies SOLID GOLD! The owners put "food" out on the counter and then other dog food, he said... "find the real food in this bad"... I looked at the ingredients... and there was NOTHING that was real food. I went thru the Solid Gold ingredients and it had ALL food, no chemicals or preservatives etc. Of course, it is a little bit more expensive, but well worth it if its healthier, and my puppies LOVE it. Also, there was a vet back in the day that turned on most vets and wrote a book about how they try to scheme you. He also suggested solid gold.
So for everyone out there, i suggest SOLID gold. And be careful of who your vet is . For example, my vet gave a 2 mnth pup first shot, second shot, heart worm pills, flea pills all at one! I said it wasnt a good idea, but he insisted. Needless to say, I switched vets.
Also, people aren't told this. but before they even saw my pug, before they even KNEW I had a pug, they said "puppy food for too long gives your animals long limbs (legs)" Sure enough, Buddy was on puppy food for 4 mnths and had EXTREMELY long legs... ! Now, both are pups and on human food. They say puppy food helps with bone developement, but apparently, it has not been scientifically proved that it does anything.
Lastly, this is just a story and opinions of myself and others that I wanted to share. Please do not criticize! |

| Re: Solid gold!!! Yup, Solid Gold is a pretty good food. Not the only high-quality dog food out there, but a solid choice. I've tried most of their formulas. My dogs don't do so great on the Hundenflocken....evidently they don't do well on lamb-based food. They did pretty good on Mmillennia and Wolf King. I haven't tried Barking at the Moon yet, because the price gets to me ($55!!!). I would definitely expect to see huge improvements from any dog that was eating off-brand garbage after switching to Solid Gold. |

| Re: Solid gold!!! I really like Solid gold. Carter did really great on it, but Nubby did not. I think it was just too rich for him. The price is well worth what it does to the dog. |
